The Scores, St AndrewsI absolutely loved this place. My first trip to Scotland and I needed a burger. Shows you how quick I get home sick. The pink haired girl(Hana, if I remember right) was smart, courteous, and friendly. All in all, I highly recommend this place! Will be back!

First Floor, R&A World Golf Museum, Bruce Embankment, St AndrewsAfter one of the most memorable rounds of golf I have ever played with my son we met up with his wife and my wife who is his mother, at Niblick. I had the Hake over mussels which I don’t see on the standard menu online. It was the best meal I had on our trip to Scotland!!!
I’m in search of the recipe but if we must return to Niblick from Texas to find it, then so be it!

24 North St, St AndrewsWe went to this place during our visit to St Andrews because we had been told about this place during the tour, as it was the cafe where the current Princes of Wales, William of England and Kate Middleton, used to meet and study at the University. The cafe is very nice and bright and the staff very friendly and simple. We were served delicious cappuccinos and in record time as we were in a bit of a hurry.\nI recommend this place without a doubt...!!!

The pub was spotless and cozy, and the haddock was incredible! The young barman was very efficient and polite, made us feel right at home even though it was busy. Proper home cooked food, can't fault anything about the place. Would recommend to anybody! (Great beer too!)

The views on to the Old Course is second to none.

Old Station Rd, St AndrewsWe were staying in the hotel and had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Both meals were very good with friendly staff. Dinner menu is focussed towards meat eaters but we had lovely fish and vegetarian dishes. As it is fixed price for 2 courses at dinner then it does seem expensive for non meat eaters especially when adding in cost of side dishes. Food was lovely though and beautifully presented. Great views over the golf course and up to the buildings of St Andrews itself.

Strathkinness Low Rd, St AndrewsDelicious food in a gorgeous Scottish country house and gardens. The restaurant offers a la carte or a set menu- we tried the latter. All the courses were yum- a seafood and black squid ink risotto, followed by lamb with morels and finished by the most glorious caramelised banana, salted caramel soufflé (which was the highlight). Partner had chicken liver parfait (randomly coated in white chocolate which at least looked cool), cod and rhubarb fresh from their kitchen garden.
Great place for a reliably nice dinner.

3, Church Square, St AndrewsWe had dinner at The Bothy the other night and it was an absolutely lovely experience from start to finish.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, cosy without feeling cramped, and it struck that perfect balance between relaxed and special occasion. The food was excellent, beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. You can really tell they take pride in showcasing good Scottish ingredients.
A special mention to Athi, who looked after us on the night. She was genuinely friendly, attentive without ever hovering, and had that natural warmth that makes you feel completely at ease. It’s rare to get service that feels so authentic, she really elevated the whole evening for us.
We left full, happy, and already talking about coming back. Highly recommend to anyone visiting St Andrews or looking for a memorable meal.

Utterly thrilled with the whole experience, we were greeted to a lovely atmosphere and attentive service. The food was brilliant, we had beef and turkey and nobody was disappointed, beautifully soft and tender!

Ben took so much time to explain the available options to our 15 year old son who has coeliac disease and made him feel so much at ease not only that but when we had we had issues with our online vouchers he took the time to make sure that these processed correctly with out any issues. Can't fault the food or outstanding service. Would highly recommend if you are ever in st andrews.

So, as you’ve gathered the service is superb so be prepared to tip well for that alone. However, the food is next level! Traditional Scottish cuisine, second to none. Using locally sourced produce and presented beautifully. I’m not an expert but I’d give them a Michelin star ⭐ You can taste the effort and attention to detail in every course.

The coolest pub is right next door, and you get views of the Old Course clubhouse and the sea. Despite the central location, we slept very peacefully.
The breakfast was delicious, although the selection is quite small. The service team was incredibly warm and welcoming, and the newly renovated bathrooms are high-quality and stylish.
The beds are comfortable, but the rooms are definitely quite small.

Unlike some places, the One Under actually has character - a cozy yet refined vibe, and is filled with great people. The live sports are also a huge plus, and the only drawback is that it shuts at 1!
5/5, definitely a MUST for St Andrews.

Fantastic menu and great wine choice in what is a truly lovely warm and inviting interior. The service was friendly but this isn’t fast food - when it’s so busy, service can be slower but it didn’t feel too slow. It’s busy for a really good reason - it is truly excellent. Loved it.

It is always good quality and tasty, and the new Mediterranean bowl with salad and falafel is particularly good. The tea, regardless of whether bought to sit in or take away, is not quite hot enough and too small for the price (or the strength of the tea bag) in my opinion. The WiFi inside can be unstable at times. There is plenty of seating and one can always find a table, whilst most cafes in the town can get absolutely packed for large portions of the day. During the winter it can be a bit cool inside.

Guardbridge Inn
1 Old St Andrews Rd, Guardbridge, St AndrewsCame in for an evening meal last week and was astonished that Guardbridge has such a gem of a restaurant on its doorstep. The pub was spotless and cozy, and the haddock was incredible! The young barman was very efficient and polite, made us feel right at home even though it was busy. Proper home cooked food, can't fault anything about the place. Would recommend to anybody! (Great beer too!)

40 The Scores, St AndrewsI photographed a Wedding reception here yesterday and I was blown away by how friendly the staff were and how fantastic the rooms looked. Rusacks, Pilmour Links, St AndrewsBeautiful views, delicious fare and exceptional service. We arrived early for our reservation and spent some time on the balcony watching the golfers on 18. Cocktails were great, our meals were excellent and our server, Erin, was top-notch. If you’re looking for a special dinner out in St. Andrew’s, this is it.

7 Pilmour Pl, St AndrewsA must for any golfer, this bar is steeped in history and culture. The service is outstanding, some of the best I’ve ever seen at a table service bar. We didn’t eat but the food looked amazing. My only gripe would be the cost of drinks, but that’s the way it is at these sorts of places.
