Visited Fletcher's for the first time this week with my family, during a day out in Stirling. I had looked at online menus for a few different restaurants and Fletcher's had a great variety so we decided to go for a late lunch. There is a small car park around the back of the building, and you can validate your parking when you head in to the Reception/Restaurant area. The interior is really nice, decorated with flowers and lights, and we received a nice welcome. We ordered the scallops and halloumi fries to start and the blade of beef, classic burger and chicken Balmoral for mains. The starters were great; the scallops were really fresh and the crispy coating on the halloumi was really tasty. The beef dish was so tender that you could pull it apart without a knife, and the burger was also cooked really well. I love chicken balmoral, and this one was so good. The peppercorn sauce really made it. We cleaned our plates. Can't speak of the rooms as we weren't staying, but the food and service was great. We've already chosen what we'll be ordering next time we're through in Stirling. Thank you.Walkability: The restaurant is about a 10 minute walk from Stirling train station, and just down the road from the Thistle Shopping Centre.

The room was spacious and comfortable, food (including breakfast) was excellent and the location really convenient for exploring Stirling. Would stay again.

March 2024Arrived about 4:30 for a 5pm booking to meet up with friends coming from Perth. No problem for the staff. Offered us a table while they prepared the table for us and we got some drinks while we waited. When the friends arrived we got more drinks and the menus. Decided no starters. The food was fab. Really enjoyed my blade of beef. Dessert was great too. A waffle with cream, fruit, caramel sauce & chocolate ice cream. It worked out £22.50 each including a 10% tip. Would happily come again next time I'm in Stirling.

Great restaurant, we’re always thrilled whenever we can find an excuse to go there for brunch.

We stopped at Fletchers for lunch, as I had read great reviews online, and it didn't disappoint. The service was excellent, and the food was fabulous. The shin of beef was amazingly tender, and my husband loved his katsu curry. The sticky toffee pudding was delicious too. Reasonable prices and helpful staff made it a great experience. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Fletcher’s for one night as part of our honeymoon. Even though the hotel is on the roundabout, it is very quiet. The room was very comfortable. The only thing better than the hotel was the restaurant. Basically, the UK and therefore Scotland don't have the best reputation when it comes to food, which is why tourists here adjust their requirements accordingly. But that's not necessary here because this restaurant is really good! Here is a chef who knows what he is doing. Both the hotel and the restaurant are absolutely recommended!Rooms: Cozy and quietNearby activities: Stirling Castle & Wallace Monument and Old Town within walking distanceWalkability: Sights, old town and train station within easy walking distanceFood & drinks: Very (!) good restaurant

Haven't stayed in rooms but have eaten here on several.occasions.Attended recently with family and with the exception of my main course of mixed game pie we all enjoyed our food.Staff were very friendly and attentive. Bathrooms were clean. You have to register your vehicle on entry to avoid fines for misusing the car park. You can also purchase vouchers as gifts for Fletchers.Food & drinks: Haven't stayed in rooms but have eaten here on several.occasions.Attended recently with family and with the exception of my main course of mixed game pie we all enjoyed our food.Favourites were scallops with black pudding and butternut squash puree, pulled pork dirty fries and croque madam. My daughter particularly enjoyed her duck main course. My mixed game pie was advertised as having puff pastry but came in a short crust pie case and if the top was puff pastry it wasn't crispy and flaky because it had been covered in an overly salty gravy. It was OK but not as the menu described and not up to previous standards. I didn't complain to staff but would avoid that particular dish in future.Staff were very friendly and attentive. Been to Fletcher's many times and always been happy with the food, drink and service. Popped in today for a cocktail before heading home. Unfortunately there was an incident outside and the road was closed by the police. The staff came to us before we left explained the situation and advised us to leave a different way if we felt we'd be triggered by the situation. Very thoughtful and sensitive, and the cocktails lovely too.
