I've been here many times for drinks but not food. It's a pub of mixed ages (more older than young) that has live music on the weekend and a pretty good atmosphere. Drinks aren't the cheapest in town but reasonably priced in comparison.

First ever visit and after reading other reviews of how good the food is they are not wrong.Probably the best Steak & Ale pie we have ever tasted. Sides and pudding spot on also no issues.I would deffo recommend this place and we will be back at some point for more amazing food and drink.

Went out about a month ago for my birthday , was me,my friend and my boyfriend, was my first time here and me and my friend had had 1 drink before this,my boyfriend had just met us and was completely sober,we got a vodka lemonade each then my boyfriend went up to get the next round and was told "I think you've had enough" it was his second drink of the night,none of us were acting out of order ,just sitting peacefully and certainly not drunk.I work in a bar and I know when to refuse service,this was completley out of order.ive spoke to people about this and heard this happens to younger people a lot in here!!!
