Been here a few times, mostly in the evenings, during the week, with friends when it is quieter and you can relax more. Decided today while at that end of town to pop in for lunch and decided to try their buffet. There were 5 choices and the extras you would expect. In all fairness, it was a quick lunch, so did not indulge as I usually do.Rice, for me, was lovely, I like my rice dry (some restaurants, the rice is gooey or wet) the sauces were lovely and the chicken nicely cooked. Yes I will go back and yes, probably for lunch too.

The food was decent. Too much colour in the curry we ordered. The Ranas kabab starter was good . The chenna chat was very average. It was just a gravy mixed with tinned chickpeas so basically it’s not a chat. The garlic naan was good. We waited a long time to get our main course so that was a bit disappointing because we were really hungry.

Food wasn't authentic, typical indian english style food. Naan not well cooked.

Well, first of all...the gentle man with bald headed seems like he has no clue what he wants to do. On a Saturday evening, thought it would be busy but it was literally just us. This guy seemed no interest in taking order, not even a glass of water was served..bald headed guy was in his phone..Food - We order couple of dishes from starters to main... ordered chicken pakora which seems to bit old. It's had some sort of smell.Fish pakora that smelled really bad with no taste, had to keep them aside.Chicke tikka...would say not too bad,but could have been cooked a bit more.Main- Butter chicken, Bhuna, South Indian. Would not blame the efforts that has put on. Would not say this was best but edible.Asked for couple of chapatis extra, here come bald headed guy..he wasn't really happy when we asked for. Initially we order 6 and then 2 extra.. surprisingly chapatis where on tables within seconds. We asked for some extra rice which was served really really Scottish cold.Even after ages siting here water still not served. I believe that is something to be given to everyone even if someone don't ask for it. BASICS.We could see this guy drinking beer form them bar. Well that defines he might be owner. He could have waited us to leave and could have enjoyed his chilled beer. BASIC MANNERS.Check seemed fishy. Over priced. Almost 5£. We did check with him he said it's the new prices. Which was not so clear, cos menu shows a different prices. We don't mind tipping someone for a good food/service. Unfortunately they had non of it.ASIAN BEWARE, YOU MIGHT GET SCAMMED HERE.

Had a lunch buffet with a reasonable price (8.95 pounds/person). There were five hot dishes such as chicken korma, butter chicken and chicken masala etc. You could taste the spices in sauces. There were also some mushrooms pakora, cauliflower pakora and chicken pakora etc, but the cauliflower pakora was a bit disappointing. It was with a thick layer of frying layer outside and the cauliflower inside was a bit dry. I like the mushroom pakora more. The service was nice, when we asked for more naan bread for the buffet. The chef quickly took some out and they were warm as well. The manager was also cheerful and welcoming. The environment was comfy with lovely sofa seat.

Worst food and service, don't really except an indian restaurant people to rude and arrogant with indian customers. Bold headed guy seems very very rude. Please don't go

This was a totally different experience from the last time I was here!Chicken pakora starter tasted really fishy and wasn't nice, for my main I ordered a tandoori chicken tika meal which on the menu said it came with rice, salad and sauces. When it arrived there was no salad or sauces, and when we got the bill the rice was charged as extra, although we didn't complain , it was less than three pounds, but still, it shouldn't have been charged extra the waitress waant sure what she was Doing and had to come back to reconfirm my friends orders and we ended up not convinced they were going to get what they asked for..also,My two pals had finished their mains but I was still eating and the waiter came over and started to take plates away, seemed very rude to me, felt like they just wanted us away, this was a meal booked for 7pm on a Saturday night, wasn't like we were eating late. The whole thing seemed rushed and just not a good experience. Not sure if I will go back again.

Nice atmosphere. I tried the buffet and was a bit disappointed with the chicken pakora, it was soggy. The rest of the food was good. I will definitely be back. An Indian buffet for £8.95 in this financial crisis is unbelievable value. I can't leave without saying that the staff were attentive and helpful.

We’d heard Ranas in Stirling we’re doing a buffet, used to love the Indian Brasserie years ago so we gave it a try, glad we did, superb value, curries were great even cooked one not on buffet for no extra cost, like all keeping food warm battered items not the best after a while but that’s all we found negative, server Gopi was really good, definitely will be back.

Visited Rana's Restaurant with a friend last week and had an amazing time! The food was delicious, service was excellent, and the ambiance was perfect. A must-visit for anyone looking for a delightful dining experience. We'll definitely be back!

The food I ordered was total waste of money. Dal tadka was sweet instead of spicy or normal dal. Shahi paneer was like made in tomato sauce. The most funny thing was when I ordered zeera rice they served biryani.

Expensive.. Everything has same taste .. Not impressed at all .. For English diners it might be a new experience but useless for Asians who knows authentic food taste
