Good basic food menu. Food average.

Be careful you do not get a thick fried chip in your coffee! My brother didn’t like to complain that his coffee tasted a bit off. However having chocked on greasy chip while drinking his latte, it was clear a complaint would have to be made. Yes staff were full of apologies but there was no offer of the latte being free. I had to tell them I was not paying for the latte before it was agreed. It was their mistake, not mine. Then some older staff member got involved ( and the reason I’m writing this review ) why she felt she needed to get involved is beyond me …She made cheeky comments about me writing a review and that it was just a “mistake” Again, your mistake, not mine! We stopped in Stonehaven for a lunch break on our coach trip up north and we went into this cafe we ordered the seniors fish and chips which was delicious and well presented and just the right size for us as we are not big eaters . The staff were very friendly the cafe is obviously well used as it was pretty full

Only lets me give 1 star as the lowest but I’d be giving zero if I could. If you like the idea of standing waiting while being looked at by the staff for ages awaiting a table, to then be spoken to like absolute rubbish then this is definitely the place to go. For all I know, it may be a nice place food wise but maybe extra training for the older members of staff is required as this is 2023 and the way we were spoken too was absolutely ridiculous. I doubt the staff/owners care but we will give this place a miss and I’d advise anyone thinking about going to serious reconsider………Unless you want to be belittled and treated like something on their shoe

We were looking forward to a nice coffee ,possibly a cake or scone.I decided on the special Victoria cake and husband decided on sausage egg and chips, two flat whites. The sausage egg and chips was good although he said the eggs were a few seconds away from being perfect. My sponge ,although tasting nice ,was dry ,it felt a bit stale, however, the coffee was awful. Flat white as advertised is supposed to be a double shot, strong with foaming milk.it should be coffee mixed with the milk to look dark and milky.Tge moment it was laid down we knew it was week and wishy washy.abd it didn't disappoint. On a good note the staff were nice and it was clean. It's just annoying when one plays nearly £6.00 for two coffee's and it's crap.

Great place for lunch or snack right on the shore or off main street ?. Service with a smile and cheery voice, best of scones and coffee or teas reasonably priced. ?

Spoke to a couple of really nice waitresses and sat down outside, mistakenly thought the parasol was adjustable at the table (it had big letters on it saying up and down with arrows so an easy error to make) and so we tried to lower it to get better shelter from the rain, only for a different member of staff to storm out yelling at us that we were going to break it. She could have simply explained that it was not meant to be adjusted but she was really rude and hostile- we were so uncomfortable we decided to leave without buying anything.

Nice place. Busy. It’s a Caf.Fish and chips were not good. Chips are a small portion and they’re frozen chips too. I think. Definitely wasn’t the chippie chips.Anyway I wouldn’t get that dish. Try other dishes.

Stopped for a takeaway, waited on picnic bench outside for food, when brought out we sat at the bench to add our ketchup etc As I went to take a bite of my veggie roll & sausage, while my partner was still adding her ketchup a member of staff immediately stormed through the door & barked at us that we couldn’t eat our takeaway on the premises & asked us to leave, this was highly unnecessary & unacceptable behaviour, she was a very rude & aggressive woman , food & coffee was mediocre. Some training in people skills, customer service & hospitality required to say the least!
