The Stack Restaurant and Bar
14 Dunnyfell Rd, Muchalls, StonehavenWe had a lovely meal at the stack last night, couldn't fault anything. The Ribeye I had was amazing, will need to book the Sunday lunch as that's had alot of good reviews. Would highly recommend this place.

The Market Bar
4 Market Ln, StonehavenI went into this place while passing by because all the cafes were closed, but it is a pub with a completely local atmosphere.
There is no separate menu, so you can order whatever beer or liquor you want, and the staff is very friendly. Beer is also cheap!
It's pet friendly, so you can see cute dogs, and the bathroom inside is very clean.
Since you're in Scotland, be sure to try Tennent's. It is poured into a cute special cup

Troupers Bar
10 Barclay St, StonehavenI was there alone on Thursday the 29th and the guy at the bar was super nice and friendly. Despite not understanding the Scottish accent very much, I really enjoyed the beers I tried and the hospitality of the people who chatted with me in this place. Super recommended.

The Tolbooth Seafood Restaurant
Harbour, Old Pier, StonehavenHad a delicious meal at The Tollbooth. Our server Lewis was great - helpful in recommending dishes and he was very knowledgeable (and seemed to enjoy his job!). The food itself was extremely tasty, fresh fish with well balanced and complementary accompaniments. Excellent price point for the quality of the food. Would recommend 100% if you’re a fan of fish - we might even go back whilst we’re still away on holiday!

My dishes were extremely sweet, I expected the rice dish with fruit to be sweet but the prawn puree and curry tasted like someone had stirred in a lot of sugar. Such a shame as the flavour was otherwise excellent. Also my vegetable dish had chickpeas but my husband's meat Baltic had my cashews in it. Thankfully we're not allergic but it could have been a major issue for someone else

Highly recommend this as a great place to stay in a bit so large, but large enough city on the east coast of Scotland

New Taste
100 Brickfield Rd, StonehavenThis is a fantastic Chinese takeaway, by far the most consistently high quality we've had in the area; there are other takeaways closer to us, but they simply do not compare to New Taste.
The staff are friendly, polite and always greet you with a smile. The meal portions are always very generous, full of high quality ingredients (no rubbery chicken here!) and like other have said, are always piping hot.
We've found our new favourite takeaway. Keep up the good work New Taste!

There was a 20 minute wait, which I thought was fine. Had there been a nice welcome, or even any welcome, this would have been a 5 star review. A smile or a hello goes a long way.

Aunty Bettys, The Promenade, StonehavenVisited here today and what a lovely place with so many different types of ice cream to choose from so many different toppings and sauces what they put on the icecream is just amazing sweets, chocolate or nuts it also does many more items like sweets, gift cards, hot and cold drinks and its great for dogs aswell thier dog treats are just cutest and my dog was very happy with his treat from thier, friendly kind and attentive staff brilliant service thank you

Old Pier Coffee House
Old Pier, StonehavenThis cafe offers great food with a lovely veiw as well looking onto Stonehaven Harbour. On the day we went it was nice and sunny and we even got to sit outside on the small balcony.
The menu is nice. Service was good and very prompt.
The lattes we had were a nice touch on the handleless glasses.

Molly's Café Bar
The Promenade, StonehavenWent in for a Tea/Coffee for lunch. I had the Tuna toasty melt and my friend had a cheesy toasty. It was more than I expected and it was very filling. Tasted and presented very well, maybe a bit too much cheese for me. Very nice though.

We were absolutely delighted with the quality in taste and size of the fish, the chips were cooked to perfection. Other local fish and chips are fine but tend to use a different batter/oil, their chips appear bland and undercooked compared with Meydan. Will definitely be back, keep up the good frying guys.

Super Cuisine Chinese Takeaway
2 Barclay St, StonehavenFirst thing to remember is they don’t accept card payments. Go prepared with cash or pay for your order online using their website. It will cost you more doing it that way though. Food is nice and all our dishes were cooked well and tasted nice. Really polite service and easy to park nearby to collect. Portions are average sized and felt each dish was priced fairly.

Beach Rd, StonehavenWe ate in£12.50 for small fish and chips (big enough for me!) and pot of tea! Very fresh. Chips and batter all crispy. Delicious! Friendly staff. Nice view of the sea from our table. Highly recommend!
