What a great pub. We called in for food. The guy behind the bar was very friendly to us and our little dog. Food ordered, drinks ordered & all arrived quickly. Food was very tasty & they even cooked us a sausage for our dog. The place was clean & looked well taken care of. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area ?

Reassuring to find somewhere open, warm and with a good range of food and drink in what at first seemed a town with few places available. Busy, helpful barmaid too.

As they only had small selection of food on there large menu due to deliveries or something was bad enough so u only got part of wat u did pick when asked for discount the girl said r u joking but later when went to pay bill the manager said he would take 10pence of for salad as that's all it's worth attitudes from staff were shocking will certainly not be back

We stopped here for a meal before boarding the ferry to Belfast. 2 x Hunter's chicken was £13.99, Monday to Thursday, with chips and salad. The food was fine, possibly pre-cooked. It was better than the burger and chips on the ferry for £14.95
Not a bad place only problem they ran out of food The steak i had was bloody awful I asked it to be medium rare but it came back medium Through the steak was a nerve so chewing was hard I eventually left it I went there with family and friends it cost altogether over £80 including drinks I tried to talk to some of the staff but couldn't find any They normally come round asking how things were but this they didn't. Very disappointed

This place isn't amazing. But it's good for the type of place as it is, a sports pub. Staff attentive, and friendly. I wanted a steak, but they didn't have any. My partner wanted the chicken pie but they didn't have any. My son wanted orange juice but they didn't have any. But the food they did have was all good. And reasonably priced.
