The Ship Inn at Drummore

This local pub has a bright and inviting feel to it. Inside it doesn't disappoint with the warm welcome from staff and locals.
The menu had something for everyone with generous portions and very reasonable priced.
Drinks too were reasonable.
The highlight of the evening was the wonderful Shanty Singers who kept the audience entertained for hours with rich harmonies and lots of fun. Everyone was encouraged to join in. Great night in a great place!

Graze Thyme

Absolutely fantastic Scottish breakfast, with quality ingredients well cooked. Add to this wonderful service from the three staff members we encountered, all in all this was a wonderful visit to a wonderful cafe to eat wonderful food.

Would fully recommend, and I will definitely be back again.

The Bunker Snack Bar

Friendly staff, quick service, nice chat while I was waiting. And the quality of the food..... wow. Real, fresh butcher supplies and you can taste the difference immediately from the usual frozen stuff you get at the truckstops. Next time im close I'll be making a detour to come back.

The Arkhouse Inn

Went here for a meal tonight .
Absolutely excellent .
Staff were friendly and attentive and the food was hot ,tasty and fresh.
I can highly recomend ...prices excellent too ..great value for money

Fig & Olive

Great coffee. We didn't eat here, but the the weekend brunch menu offers some tasty-sounding options. Looking across at other tables, the food did look good too. It was busy when we visited on a Saturday morning, with a good buzz. Friendly and pleasant staff, so we'll definitely call again when next in town.

Landos Restaurant

Fantastic food and early evening deal great value! We had bruschetta, spicy arrabiatta with prawns, veg pizza, ice cream and two drinks and our bill was less than £50. Would definitely return if I'm back in the area.

The Pub

Food was fantastic. Visited based on reviews and didn't disappoint. Did order a pudding which didn't arrive but easily removed from the bill as we had to leave. staff were very friendly too.

Driftwood Restaurant

Our party had coeliac requirements and the staff were more than happy to explain what they have and the precautions they take. Overall, we felt very confident in their ability to cater for us and the food was just as great.This was topped off by lovely views of the loch.Dietary restrictions: We had a coeliac in the party and the staff were very good explaining their cooking process, how they avoid cross contamination and their other safety measures.In addition to this, they had a good range of vegetarian and vegan options providing a good experience for all.

Alexandra Coffee Shop

Had an amazing lunch here. We just came across it in passing but the staff and service were incredible and I received probably the best panini ive ever eaten and at reasonable cost

Stranraer F C Fitba Bar

We recently had our wedding reception at fitba Bar 4/7/25. And we had the best night of our lives! Myself and my husband cannot commend the staff and Colin enough, their catering was fantastic and we were well looked after all night. All guest had a 3 course meal and at night the famous Colin buffet everything was excellent quality. All our guests loved it and said it was among the best weddings they have been to, some of whom travelled from Glasgow and Ireland to attend. Thanks again Colin and staff xxx

The Grapes

Didn't eat just had one drink as recently moved to a village near and tbh was lovely. A typical old fashioned local with locals sat around chatting and nice drinks. Had a lovely chat with a guy in there. Also the female toilets are just the best. Waiting area with full size mirror and really nice decor. Gunna bring my partner in next.

Papa Rab’s Restaurant, Takeaway & Bar

We found Papa Rab's in a moment of need after a long day's driving from Fort William, and Papa Rab ticked the box. The kitchen does a terrific line in sourdough pizza, and when we visited there was a carvery. I am sure those who adventure beyond pizza into more classical Italian dishes would not be disappointed. Great find.

Fed Up Community Cafe

Excellent Cafe for the community, offering food, warmth, support and care to anyone who needs it. Amazing stuff led by Cheri and Andy who care passionately about helping everyone they can reach. Caring about not only customers but staff too.

Subway

The best thing about this Subway is the staff, they were amazing today when we were in and gave us lots of info on what to do on our stay.
Subs were fresh and tasty and the shop was clean and tidy.

Kismet Kebab House

As a kebab eater of almost 40 years standing when kebab shops were limited to one or two in a big city I have tasted and tried many down the years. I look for tasty spiced meats and fresh breads served with suitable sauces and salad. At times I have despaired of the diminishing quality of these finest of fast food snacks. Kismet kebab house offered me hope and joy in equal measure. Their freshly cooked chicken and donner is some of the best I've had in a long long time. I realised id settled for less in inferior establishments but Kismet restored my faith that somebody here wants to provide for their customers a true kebab experience. Not just to fill a gap in your tummy but to really transport you to kebab shop heaven. Thank you Kismet. When I think of great kebab shops I'll think of you

The best meal out I have had in Stranraer. OK the bar was low but I really welcome this restaurant. Beautifully presented, clean and somehow trustworthy in every aspect. If you want a quick meal in Stranraer I recommend it.

The Wee Teapot Tearoom

By far the best breakfast I’ve had in Stranraer. Friendly staff and delicious food.

At first I didn't know whether I would like it but it's actually good the food was good but a bit of a small portion. The ice cream flavours were a bit weird but tasted good.

The Swan Inn

As a group we attended the swan for a west life tribute act.we had food that was beautiful and the show was a 10/10! I would like to mention the fantastic staff the girls did not stop all day long and with a smile on their faces the service they provided was absolutely fantastic tables constantly cleaned free of food and drinks what a brilliant bunch of staff.

Dnisi

We have been using Dnisi Stranraer for years. Always great coffee and food, but what makes it better are the staff. Really friendly and always helpful. Always go above and beyond for my disabled friend,without making him feel any different for having a disability.
Its one of the few places you can visit on your own too, and not feel alone. Its like being a regular in your local pub. Thats down to how good the staff and service is.

The Ivy Leaf Fish and Chicken Bar

My choice for my birthday tea as mid week and not wanting to cook! This was delicious and freshly cooked, home cut chips, fish, sausage, chicken, onion rings the lot. Would recommend ?

Just had a takeaway delivery from you guys and I have not eaten with you guys for the last 20 years but OMG fantastic food it was amazing , great value got the set meal for 2 outstanding guess you got an old customer back outstanding guys ?

Istanbul Pizza & Kebab House

Stood in queue for 40 minutes waiting patiently. At least 10 customer's some before some after us got served and then 3 Turkish guy's came in went to front of queue and got served within 10 minutes. Not good when you have stood patiently. Won't be standing again

The Coffee Bean @Cafe Pizzeria

We visited the coffee bean for breakfast this morning and I’m pleased to report that it was delicious. The service from our waitress (Megan) was second to none, she was so polite and friendly and made us feel so very welcome. The Scottish breakfast was amazing and the coffee was fantastic too.

Indian kebab House

We ordered 2 king Donner Kebabs, salad and garlic sauce with an extra carton of Chilli Sauce to go. 5 Star's here as it was absolutely delicious, superb quality and quantity. Definitely recommend the King Kebabs!

Morrisons Cafe

Some staff are lovely and very helpfull u can approach them and they will help only thing with morisons is trying to do your shopping and there is cages everywhere stuff filling shelves they stopped the night shift so u are for ever moving cages or trying to get around them thats only thing wrong with morisons it can get dangerous it would help if most shelves were filled during the night when no shopping being done av heard a few showers saying about it Some were going to stop going due to lots of cages laying about apart from that its ok
