The Ship Inn at Drummore

Went down to the Ship for the Easter craft fair there were some great tables and very interesting products Honey, Jewellery, crochet wear, painting, chocolate, cakes and flowers but the best was sun lighter and acrylic painting and a very friend

The Arkhouse Inn

NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER!My partner said she had here the food in here was quite nice and wanted to try it.We got here and I did not want to try or even go into the pub. When we walked in you could see the pub was dated and not in the best of conditions.At the bar we were met by a really lovely young lady who served us really well and was a credit to the inn.The pub is clean and has a lovely open fire which was on and it felt some homely. I’ll Be honest it not all modern and immaculate but it’s warm and very friendly.The food, the food was fantastic. It was worth every penny we spent there.The salt and chilli crispy curry chicken with rice and chips was great (a little hot for me but then I am a wimp) I eat it all tho,My partner ordered honey chilli crispy chicken and she loved every bite of it.We also tried the loaded fries which were Stornoway fries which were French fried coated in smoked paprika, topped with peppercorn sauce stornaway black pudding and mozzarella cheese. WOW they were finger licking. A main in its self.Would I visit them again? YESWould I eat there again? HELL YESWas the atmosphere good? YESDo I feel stupid for having an opinion of the pub just by looking at the front of it? YES I DO.

Driftwood Restaurant

Our party had coeliac requirements and the staff were more than happy to explain what they have and the precautions they take. Overall, we felt very confident in their ability to cater for us and the food was just as great.This was topped off by lovely views of the loch.Dietary restrictions: We had a coeliac in the party and the staff were very good explaining their cooking process, how they avoid cross contamination and their other safety measures.In addition to this, they had a good range of vegetarian and vegan options providing a good experience for all.

The Grapes

Me and my partner visited here with our lovely friends who live nearby, the staff were friendly, great guest ales on the tap, very reasonable prices, and a rich musical culture I would definitely visit again, .The staff were really friendly.

The Bunker Snack Bar

Had a black pudding and egg roll which was amazing. Even though the lassies were mobbed with phone in orders the food was all coming out consistently , My items in my roll tasted of really good quality , chuffed ?

Stranraer F C Fitba Bar

Me and my son were down for the day to go to the Stranraer game.We stopped in here before and after the game.Great place prices are great and the staff couldn't be nicer

Henrys Bay House Restaurant

We went for Sunday lunch. The food was fantastic. Really tasty and beautifully presented. We were not disappointed in our choices. The staff are very friendly and attentive.

The Pub

After having a pint in this pub the previous night and seeing some of the meals come out I thought I'd have to try it and I was not disappointed.We ordered steak pie chips and veg, the Highland burger x 2 and the kids burger chips and beans. Plus 2 rounds of drinks.The food was excellent, the service was great, the prices where good and it was a proper local pub atmosphere.Honestly can't fault a single thing.Would highly recommend.

Landos Restaurant

We were a party of 19 and the food,staff and service was so good. Everyone enjoyed their food and everything was cooked as expected. Thanks to the team at Landos who looked after us all so well. I would highly recommend this restaurant ☺️

Fig & Olive

Went in for a coffee and a cake during my long motorcycle journey from Lancashire. Pleasant table service and great relaxing warm atmosphere. Will definitely visit again when passing through.

Istanbul Pizza & Kebab House

Geez ohh, ordered mixed kebab special, got an absolute meat feast. Enjoyed it which you normally can't say about carry out food in Stranraer. Chilli sauce left a bit to be desired but otherwise highly recommended. 2days later ordered same, much more Donner meat this time sadly but Pakora sauce rather than chilli was a very good move. Marked down one star for too much Donner meat.Shop was busy which tells its own story.3rd visit Shish Kebab, loved it. Back to 5 stars

We eat out a lot in various different types of establishments from local pub to fine dining and the meal here could not be faulted to the point I didn't want my mixed seafood risotto (not a mussel in sight) to finish. French onion soup done right with cheese and croutons was devoured. Absolutely faultless, delicious, and exceptional value for money.
