Good service Big portions and generally ok. Everything except the rice seem to have a sauce on it where the same dishes elsewhere are dry. I guess it is a personal preference.

Took the whole family on a Sunday night .I have 3 grandsons and a step granddaughter. We got the mixed starter for 4 which did the 9 of us .all the kids loved it .we had 6 main dishes and shared them out .the puddings are the best I have seen in a Chinese. The owner of the Chinese gave the 4 kids a set of chopsticks to take home and practice for the next time which went down well with them we will be back definitelyParking: There is a carpark not far from Chinese

We were staying at Aird Donald campsite and ordered the food by phone and asked for delivery. The food was delivered well within the stated time. It was piping hot, tasty and a generous portion size. First class.

We really enjoyed our meal here yesterday.Sadly nothing was listed as veggie or vegan on the menu but the staff were super friendly and quickly arranged some amazing vegan food with loads of flavour. Portions were generous with friendly service.

Take out for 15 people . Food absolutely delicious. I had fillet in black pepper sauce. Variety of other meals included smoked crispy chicken in honey and chilli sauce, sweet and sour chicken. Special fried rice, beef in black bean sauce etc. Every meal was delicious.
Great food and extremely friendly service. We were welcomed without a reservation and had great food. The pineapple fritters are the best

Given the reviews, was expecting something special, but was ok, not the best and not the worst.Bit pricey.Spare ribs bit different from what I've seen/had in other Chinese restaurants/takeaways. Personally I didn't find them particularly appetising, so passed on them. However, others ate them + thought they were just OK.Other food dishes were fine as was portions.We collected + found the service was quick enough.Person who took telephone order efficient + pleasant.

On the expensive side but food was lovely! Cheaper than dining out! £7 delivery to caravan park! Breast of chicken curry was succulent and best we’ve ever tried! Seasoned chips were lovely. Bits of ham through chicken fried rice … not keen on that though

Visited Wednesday 17th May (closed Monday/Tuesday) to find that it was only open for take-away meals. The restaurant is due to open in July. However, we were invited inside to have a look. Much to our surprise, we were told that we could dine in the restaurant as we had travelled a long way, but I think it had something to do with my charming partner also being from Hong Kong. We had a very enjoyable meal served personally by the proprietors wife and enjoyed talking with her. The food is first class and I have no hesitation in saying that if you like Chinese food and are in Stranraer, then the Hong Kong City Restaurant is a must.
