Takeaway - Underwhelming & Overpriced2 basic burgers and chips with side of onion rings - £26!!! Called ahead to check doing takeaways and if it would be the whole menu or still just a small takeaway menu to which I was informed the full menu. We got excited as the photos of their food on recent Facebook posts looked great. Called up to order a Galloway burger and Battered Chicken burger but told they are not takeaway options by another member of staff so swapped to a beef burger which we added cheese and bacon plus a cajun chicken burger. Also added a side of onion rings. Collected and unwrapped burgers at our holiday lodge to find no salad or sauces, these were not offered at any point either - you probably have to ask for these! Just two basic burgers and some chips with onion rings. They tasted ok but nothing special. Even at half the price we would have been disappointed. Sorry but takeaway not worth it! Maybe sitting in restaurant might be better.Ps we added the grated cheese to the chips in the photo.

A friendly welcome, with proper no nonsense food! We were so pleased to find this place as we were struggling to find a decent pub meal around Port Patrick, and one that has veggie options as well! Highly recommended!

The exterior is deceptive - very modern inside - Really nice food - and very pleasant staff - would recommend as best place in portpatrick to eat

Been several times when I come up to visit family. Nice pub grub, my lasagna was only slightly hot but was still nice.

Terrible service, slow and waitress verging on rude. Had the driest cheese and ham toastier I’ve ever not eaten, it was revolting. Why can they never serve teas and coffees with the food, not half an hour before you get t your meal.I’ve been before to eat and the service is always slow but on this occassion we had to wait nearly an hour, when the food did arrive, the toast was stone cold, the bacon tasted as it had been cooking for a fortnight and part of the order not served at all. Really terrible experience, why is theservice so slow. . The food could be delicious but it’s never I’d, think the staff need to up their game. If you are reading this review, goto the crown in Portpatrick and save yourself having yo dreadful experience

Enjoyed a lovely meal with my sisters. Delicious pasta and sweet potato fries. Lovely helpful staff.

I would equate this to worse than a Wetherspoons, we walked here from our caravan to enjoy a ‘pub grub’ dinner. The chicken burger was a processed chicken nugget on a bun. At £11.99 I was thoroughly unimpressed. The staff were pleasant enough, but very young and uninterested in the dining quality. Ann Over priced McDonald’s in my opinion.

While staying at the Caravan park across the road we called over to see if they were open amd if they allowed dogs, they said dogs were only allowed on the outside not inside.we decided not to go as it was so cold amd windy.in this day and age I would have thought they would have a eating area in the bar area where you could take your dog and have a few drinks..Theywould certainly make more money as we would have spent atleast £50..

We walked up for some food while staying in Portpatrick for the weekend. We booked ahead. Service for a table of 11 was great, the welcome was lovely from the two younger girls working, and drinks were all delivered quickly The food in my / our opinion was really good, menu range was good and most meals came with nice freshly cooked home style chips. We had one tiny issue with one meal for one of the kids and it was dealt with perfectly. We then sat out and had drinks on the front terrace which was lovely, with a nice little play area for the young ones. Costs of the food were all very reasonable Thanks again
