Bars in Torridon

“Reviewing just the bar as we didn't go to the restaurant. It's just the bar which is dog friendly. There's plenty of seating outside but it's quite small inside.
We had a couple of beers one night and then went back for dinner the following day. Fish and chips were delicious, would recommend! The hot smoked salmon salad was also really good!
Wasn't a big fan of the beers on tap, but they had some nice bottled beers to chose from aswell.
Staff were very friendly and attentive!”

“Quick summary: clubby bar that serves light food as well as a spectacular drinks selection. This is the only bar & dining venue open to the public (with caveats), I.e. those not staying at the Torridon Hotel. Friendly, helpful, professional service. We were touring the area and needed lunch. The hotel itself is only available to its guests for dinner, and they did not seem to be serving lunch. An alternative: The hotel’s separate Bein Bar has a nice clubby atmosphere, partly dark woods and high tops, partly leather chairs and a lamp with a brass elk base, partly sunny lounge area with upholstered chairs and sofa, where we sat. Huge array of drinks and spirits. We just needed light lunch (we’d had a big breakfast; did’t want to starve until dinner time.). We each had the good -sized bowl of soup of the day with excellent crusty sourdough bread, and split the platter of Scottish cheeses, served with chutney and flatbread. All was freshly prepared and tasty. There is also a venison burger which was tempting, but more than we wanted. Also on the menu: a salmon platter, salad, etc. Prices are reasonable for the quality. There is a 12.5% service charge tacked on, unless you protest. I’m sure that all staff are friendly and professional, but you will be in very goods hands if Dan is serving you, and earns this consideration. To note: I think the hotel is open to outsiders for teatime if you call ahead and they might have room. There is also a bistro I don’t think it was open for lunch. So - an enjoyable lunch experience that was something of an introduction to what one might expect at the hotel. It offered a good reason to consider staying at the hotel in the future.”
