Welcome Inn, Mossbank, ShetlandWe booked the function room at the welcome inn to watch the Scottish cup final, they were extremely accommodating with anything we needed, they put staff on so we could be there before the normal opening hours. All the bar staff was extremely polite to all our guests, the room was immaculately clean on our arrival and they had set out tables for us to put our buffet on. Highly recommended 10/10

Braewick Café and Caravan Park
Cafe and Campsite, Braewick, ShetlandAdvertised as open on Google but on arrival a notice on the door said the cafe was closed for the winter. Disappointing as we've had decent meals there before.
My disappointment is with Google and the cafe. Google should not be advertising the cafe as open when it is not. On the other hand the owners should be aware that Google is publishing incorrect information and should be able to correct it. Maybe they tried to and were unable to?
Given all the above I would not rank the cafe if I were able to but the system does not allow that.
I accept giving one star for a place I couldn't visit is unfair.

Sandness, ShetlandHad a pleasure to visit this establishment twice within last week, what I experience was beyond any expectation for any pub - club I could hope for in Shetland. Firstly let`s start on entrance, nothing indicates this is a way to one of the most desired places you want to be. This shady hole on the side of Hill of Sandness and Hill of Shendale leads by small cavernous corridor to beautiful hand made heavy doors. Two massive bouncers are there to keep lost travelers out of trouble. After checking our invitation and telling us the rules of the pub we head in. Spacious it is. On Friday afternoon coming to an evening we had a chance to see a jelly fights (photos added), a regular week by week league type of events with the finest of the Shetland fighters. What a night it was, what a cheering you could hear. Time flew very quickly - thanks to a great atmosphere and phenomenal crowd. Encouraged with such unique experience I was temped to visit again day later. I can only say, I was not disappointed. This time not only the food met the highest standards, but amount of patrons packed the place. No wonder, someone might say, it was a monthly dwarf (or more politically correct - people with height deficiency) boxing match. As previous time spent there was beyond and above.For any person visiting Shetland this is MUST GO. (Of course if you have an invitation).

Taste Of China
A970, ShetlandWow!! We were hugely impressed with this restaurant. We had the egg fried rice, crispy shredded beef, kung po chicken and spare ribs; everything was fabulous. The portions were gigantic and we received our food in only 10 minutes. Staff were very friendly. We were stuffed after this meal! Highly recommend checking this place out

Frankie's Fish & Chips
Brae, ShetlandThe food was lovely albeit a bit pricey, the fish was big at least and the batter tasted light which I love, but near £50 for 3 fish suppers and 3 cans of juice made me wince slightly. The opening times could do with just a little later, I reckon 8pm close would bring in a huge amount of business from the Sella Ness workers as their shifts end at 7pm but maybe they don't want that. All in all a nice treat every once in a while and the staff were great, just too pricey to be a regular occurrence for me personally.

Da Grub Hut
Isles Rd, ShetlandThis cheery out of the way cafe on the road to Mossbank serves lovely coffee and nice toasted sandwiches. In addition there is a large playroom for kids and young at heart adults. Staff are lovely, atmosphere nice, decor bright and clean. Recommend this place ???
