I was asked to write a review directly but not allowed to submit - I assume because it was a negative review! East to book, service good & friendly, food shocking. Last went a few years ago and vowed never to return as the food was awful. Everyone deserves a second chance so we tried again. The food is just dreadful and we will never eat there again. Worst still, we were over charged. Would not recommend.

Our first visit since Covid and my 65th Birthday celebration meal. The turkey and beef looked lovely but at only 1 slice of each served we relied on the good range of accompaniments to fill the plates. Maybe they were saving the meat for the coach party that turned up and took over the bar and carvery food line. Good quality but meger portions. Dessert was lovely but the coffee we ordered didn't arrive. Pity as we really love the setting and ambience of the Punch Bowl.

Superb service excellent evening meal and great breakfast along with a beautiful room with balcony.

Where to start.. first of off if you haven’t been here for a carvery then it’s a must!Secondly if your considering your wedding here then I couldn’t recommend enoughEverything from the booking, planning, to the day itself was so easy and relaxed.No stress whatsoever and the team are amazing, I dealt with Chris and Adam while planning & then Ange in the few days prior to the wedding and on the actual day. She’s a star and everything went like clockwork, the venue itself is beautiful we got married on the grounds with Shropshire registrars, had the 3 course breakfast then hog roast for the evening.Food quality is fantastic and the portions are huge, none of guests left hungry!We stayed over too and the breakfast the next day was great.. again so filling and great quality.All of our guests commented on the venue being amazing and that they had such a great day / enjoyed the food.Wish we could do it all again, thank you to the team for making our day perfect

Arrived on a Friday night and have to say we felt that standards have really slipped. The young waiter was fabulous and really knowledgeable and helpful, but the food was very disappointing. My husband had the burger which although looked fabulous, was really dry. I had the carvery and was served the last scrapings of the dry, overcooked turkey and the beef was extremely tough. My Dad had parsnips with his and they were that hard, he couldn’t get his fork in them. The other veggies were also very hard so he didn’t eat them. This was at 6 PM on a Friday night so looks like we had the remains from earlier in the day. One would hope that they upped their game for the wedding going on next door and for the later diners.

My Wife and I visited your Bridgnorth Punchbowl at Saturday lunchtime. The welcome was very friendly. We were shown to our table and offered drinks which came promptly. We got our food from the carvery which was very good. The deserts were lovely. Overall we had a great visit. It is a pity that we do not live in the area as we would be regulars. Thank you
