Saros Indian and Bangladeshi restaurant
12 Moat St, BridgnorthWe went to Saros for the first time on Saturday 31st August 2024. Very busy. Starters and main courses were excellent. Had to wait 10-15 minutes for table, but the food and friendly service made up for that. They were also busy with takeaways. Very popular and highly recommended. Will definitely go again. Best to book in advance. No parking, but parking 5 minutes walk away. Hidden gem.

Crown
High St, BridgnorthThe atmosphere and staff were very welcoming. The pub is a lot bigger than I thought and is very deceptive looking at it from the front. Having said this, they still managed to retain a nice, cozy atmosphere. The breakfast was good and we will definitely visit again when visiting beautiful Bridgnorth.

Peepo Pizza
84-85 High St, BridgnorthWe’ve always loved the food here but hadn’t been for a while. We went for a last minute lunch, I was worried they’d stop taking orders by the time we got there so I called ahead to check, the owner answered and kindly said he’d stay open until we arrived. They had some really good lunch time deals on which were too good to miss. The soup which was Tomato & red pepper was the best soup I think I’ve had in my life! The fries were seasoned with I don’t know what, but were out of this world and everything we ordered was just amazing, everything is homemade and the chefs certainly know what they’re doing here. The service was great from the owner himself, who is very friendly. We already can’t wait to visit again soon!

China Diner
3 Bridge St, BridgnorthBack for my annual trip to the area from the US and my first stop…always China Diner! Chinese food is my favorite food. I have loved it my entire life but this place has made it hard for me to eat anywhere else! I think about the crispy beef, sweet and sour chicken, and chow mein basically on a daily basis. I tell people in the US how incredible this place is even if they can’t even go. It’s that good. Every year we drive from Kiddy just for this and we will continue every year. The staff is always lovely and now they even remember me as the random American who can’t get over their delicious food. 10/10 every time! See you all again in 2026!

Jade House Chinese Take Away
High St, Highley, BridgnorthWasn’t sure if it was open when I first walked past but I’m glad I got a menu!I got the pork fried rice with curry sauce and my partner got the chow mien and sweet and sour chicken. My pork fried rice was pretty good ngl! Highly recommend! Tho it’s a bit dry so I tried my curry sauce with it-NOPE I don’t like it personally-It was a lil less sweet and a lil too much spice to it, also kinda watery too?Not bad tho I’m still eating itMy partners chow mien tasted burnt from likely the char grill but I’m not sure I didn’t try it. No complaints on the chicken ballsI’d give it a 6/10 honestly! Not bad but not amazing!Lovely staff tho!!

Himalaya Tandoori Restaurant
12 Whitburn St, BridgnorthI used to dine here when I lived in Bridgnorth around 40 years ago and it was great to return when we visited the town on the 16 October 2025. I regularly enjoy Indian / Asian food and this was undoubtedly one of the best Indian meals I have ever had. My three fellow diners also agreed with me. The food just tasted so fresh and the many flavours were wonderful. The owner was very helpful with advice and was very attentive during our meal. I just wish I lived nearer to Bridgnorth so I could visit more often!

Bakehouse Cafe
Central Shopping Court, BridgnorthWe had a breakfast here. It was very nice but one thing I don't like is when the toast is on the side of the plate and then all the wet stuff like beans and tomatoes are set against it, for me the toast should be on a separate plate I actually couldn't eat the toast it was so soggy. I haven't seen toast like this in many other cafes.
The people serving were lovely but I won't go again because of this toast situation trivial for some but not for me

53a Mill St, BridgnorthTruthfully I only ever get battered sausage and curry sauce. But I'm a big fan! I've had locals catch me happy as a clap in the car park next door telling me it's the worst one in bridgenorth but I've never experienced that. Maybe that says more about Telford Chippies than anything else. Was planning a visit today but didn't realise you're closed Sundays.

The Old Castle
The Old Castle, 9 W Castle St, BridgnorthNice Pub in high town Bridgnorth, very good ahtmosphere. I was welcomed by kind staff and during a week I was visiting the pub 5 times. The meny was as good as pub meny can be, there was variation and a green touch. I had the ploughmans two days and the portions is big maybe to big!. The other dishes was also very good. The cider the offered was also good. Anything less good? Well the cheesecake I tasted was off and not good, and once the coleslaw had a not to fresh taste.

65 St Marys St, BridgnorthHad lunch here today, and the choice and quality of the burgers and other dishes here were fantastic. \nThe beef burgers they serve put the likes of 5 Guys and Smash burger to shame in both how they taste and how much they cost, and the young lady who served us was very helpful and friendly.\n Excellent range of vegetarian/vegan options, which is a godsend for my partner, and the desert menu and milk shakes are great, too.\n\nHad the chicken and fish burgers in previous visits, and both were delicious. \nHighly recommended \n

THALIO
3A St Johns St, BridgnorthOur first visit here. The decor was very interesting lots of old headgear on the walls. We were there early evening about 6.30 but told we had to leave by 8. Not a problem for us but it may be for some. There were plenty of empty tables which was a surprise as it was their specials night. The food was not your typical Indian food and it took us ages to decide what to have, which I think annoyed the waiter a little. The food was very interesting and we would definitely go back again.
Parking: Keep your parking ticket and the restaurant will refund it when you eat there.
