More work needed on the pies !The idea is a good one but they need to get the pastry right and make sure that thebpotatoes are not under cooked. On the positive side, the staff were excellent and the place is warm and comfortable.

Countless times have we travelled up and down the A49 and passed through Leebotwood and thought that The Pound Inn looked an inviting place to stop. Finally got round to it today we we booked a table for three for Saturday lunchtime. Nice big carpark, so parking was a breeze. A warm welcome on entering and we were shown to our table. I selected from the pie menu and it was delicious. All three of us enjoyed our meal and can confidently say that we will return.

Staying nearby and not sure of where to eat on a Friday night so we popped in to the Pound Inn, based on other reviews, and what a find, a great menu of "home cooked" food, we never got past the pie page!!My wife opted for the Chicken and Leak, and I went down the vegetarian route, and the food was excellent, served by a young, but great front of house team, seamlessly coping with three large groups as well as other tables. So good we booked for Sunday lunch on the strength of this. Only wished we lived nearer, so we could visit more often.
Made a stop on our journey south and found this wonderful pub. Really cute and cosy inside and the food looked lovely (although we only stopped for a drink)… would love to revisit and spend longer here and defo try the food.
