3 B4370, Church StrettonVisited Mother's day again. Lucky to get a table as left booking bit late but managed to get a cancellation last minute. Food excellent as usual and Ben chef on carvery duty. Johnathan our server very helpful and extremely friendly with smiles. All staff in fact excellent and lady on bar brilliant. Thanks see you soon I hope.

Picklescott, Church StrettonHad lunch here today 29.12.23.arived just after mid day .not too busy,nice and cosy, sat in the dining room in front of a lovely fire after ordering drinks at the bar.i ordered the haddock and my friend the tagine.i can honestly say it was the best fish,chips and mushy peas iv had in a pub and my friend liked her tagine .service was great in a lovely setting. Can highly recommend and I will be retuning .the beer was good too .

Ludlow Rd, Church StrettonHad a great walk up the Hills & stopped off at The Green Dragon. Food was amazing & staff were polite and friendly. Pork Belly starter was Yum Yum and the chicken burger was great. Bread and olives was delicious & the glutton free fish and chips was lovely Thank you.

3 High St, Church StrettonWhat a wonderful experience, staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. We ordered 2 sandwiches to go, they were packed with beef and turkey and trimmings! It was so good we returned after our hike for a treat which was also delicious! Thank you!

Shrewsbury Rd, All Stretton, Church StrettonI'm always wary of ordering beef in eating establishments as I've found more times than not it can be quite tough unless cooked correctly. Nothing to worry about here. I went specifically to try out the Thursday carvery that 1 or 2 locals had recommended since the last time I had a Sunday roast there over a year ago and wasn't great. I had 2 slices of really lean, tender beef along with a tasty faggot in an onion sauce. The choice of half a dozen or so vegetables were cooked to perfection along with a large crispy Yorkshire pud. I asked if I could go back for more veggies rather than load up the plate on first serving and the friendly, talkative chef said I could have as much as I wanted. An excellent meal all for £11. Needless to say, I wasn't able to partake in a dessert. Maybe next time, as I will now make this a much more frequent event.The only disappointment was that there was only myself and a couple of other diners between midday and when I left at 1.20, so there was no atmosphere in the dining area, some in the main bar.I really hope enough people turn up for the Thursday carvery ( there's also one on Sundays which will no doubt be more popular) as it is definitely the best option for a lunchtime meal in the area and superb value for money.

2, The Shop/Sandford Court/Sandford Av, Church StrettonQuirky little shop. Yes, they sell chocolate but also a wide range of ice-cream flavours are on offer too. It is tiny inside but there are a few plastic chairs outside for you to sit on to enjoy your waffle cone.

5 The Square, Church StrettonGlamping Trip, a break from the City. Wanted a good hot meal, Sawaddee delivered and surpassed our expectations. The food was lovely, the setting is intimate and prices are value for money.I had the Sawaddee fried rice and added extra chilli... Food was fresh, flavoursome and unforgettable.

Yew Tree Inn - Oak St
22 Oak St, WolverhamptonStopped at the Yew Tree en route to a Wolves game at Molineux, and bought two drinks for my friend and me, which came to about £7.95. All very well, and sat with a group to enjoy a pre-match pint. Friendly atmosphere and pleasant staff, and the beer was well kept. However, it was a little later whilst at the match that I noticed that I had been charged £79.50 on a debit card, which came a s a bit of a shock. I returned to the pub after the match, and there was a young man behind the bar - not the person who had served me earlier. I explained the situation, expecting some difficulties. I needn't have worried - the guy behind the bar was immediately on the case, and refunded me the overpayment without a quibble. He was most apologetic, and even offered me a drink on the house for my trouble which although I declined I thought was very decent of him. This whole situation couldn't have been dealt with any better, and the barman - who's name I sadly didn't get - is undoubtably a credit to the pub for his professional attitude and decency.

6 Sandford Ave, Church StrettonMyself and my partner when in this evening for dinner. We’re local, so we knew it would be good but oh wow, we’re our expectations blown out of the water! The service was absolutely impeccable. Staff were so friendly and welcoming and the food came out so quickly which was unexpected as it is all cooked fresh. Food was absolutely delicious. Genuinely cannot recommend enough.

And then you come across a garage with a Costa inside ❤️ hallelujah ☕☕☕? I had a lovely Cortado to go and a raspberry almond bake. The service was pukka, quick and to the usual standard you'd expect. A smile goes a long way and there was an abundance of the gesture in this coffee house.Definitely pinned for my next passing.Info: the garage has a toilet ? open to the public also.Parking: A number of parking bays adjacent the petrol pumps ⛽

National Trust Cafe and Toilets
Carding Mill Valley, Church StrettonThis café is spot on as a place to start or end a walk. It has a range of takeaway or eat-in options at a very reasonable price. There were many vegan options, including a vegan sausage roll, a very tasty cauliflour pasty (plus an additional cheesy vegetarian pasty). There were also several vegan sweet options, including a chocolate cookie and a berry flapjack. They had two types of alternative milk available at no extra cost. There wasn't a plant based sandwich, but we felt there was plenty to choose from for the plant based members of our group. The food was tasty and the staff were extremely friendly and professional.

Best Kebab & Burger House
38 Sandford Ave, Church StrettonThis restaurant is one of the best kebab places! Despite past negative reviews, my experience was exceptional 5/5 for both food and service. The kebabs were a taste of Turkey, and the owner's dedication shone through. A delightful surprise that exceeded expectations, proving the value of trying it for oneself. Highly recommended!
