Without doubt one of the finest Fish & Chip shops in the UK. The Cod & Chips we had was sublime and the curry sauce was fantastic! Well worth the journey from Ross on Wye!!!

Love Fiddlers Elbow. Their fish and chips are consistently good. We normally order for collection but I think they cook to order, so everything fried is hot and crispy. They're always so cheerful too..

Where are the signs, how do we know, what about the disclaimers? Anyone who is coeliac and has to follow a gluten free diet knows the routine when eating out but here there is..."No Need"... because everything is gluten free. No song and dance so it doesn't put anyone off and so it shouldn't. We were visiting the area but if we lived near enough this would be our regular take away (my wife who is not gluten free agrees the food is as good as any normal chippy could provide.) We couldn't stop ourselves double checking the gluten free and they seemed slightly offended by us thinking we needed to ask!

The fish and chips were great. As we were a few miles away, it's handy being able to order on line and then collect at a specified time. They were very busy and only 2 staff.

Fast service. Expensive, nice but nothing special.. Charge for fork to eat fish!! !. This doesn't help environment it is essential tool.. Homemade tartar sauce bitter, not that nice. Nice service, friendly staff, clean modern shop.

It's a hundred mile round trip for us to visit, this must be one of the finest fish and chip shops in the U.K. Gluten free but you wouldn't know the difference. Excellent food, superb friendly owners - what more could you want?

Second time eating food from here and I have to say it is the best fish and chips I have ever had! Had the 2 for £12, a Roe, Mushy peas fritter, cheese and onion fritter and curry sauce and tartare sauce. All delicious! Will definitely be back!

The only positive I could give is that the food is gluten free which is hard to find. I order on the app so I don’t have to wait about. I find it very sneaky that a 10% service charge is automatically added on and you have to remove it if you know it’s there. I wouldn’t mind leaving a tip if I had dined in and wasn’t just served my food through a window. They no longer serve food with salt and vinegar on, you have to ask for a sachet and purchase more if it’s not enough or if like myself too open the vinegar sachet and instead of it squirting on your chips it squirts down your leg instead. It’s just not good tbh. The food is expensive but it’s tastes ok. The sachet vinegar is not the same as having it squirted on after it leaves the fryer. I don’t think I’ll be going again even though our family is gluten free, I’d rather drive a little further out for better quality and service.
