The White Horse Inn, Clun
The Square, Clun, Craven ArmsUnbelievably good pub and restaurant. Disclaimer- i live nearby. I had takeaway fish and chips tonight and I can honestly say, best I have ever had. Less than a tenner which is cheaper than local chip ship (7 miles away). Genuinely amazing town and genuinely amazing pub and restaurant. Found the place I'd be happy to die in!

The Crown Inn
Clunton, Craven ArmsFantastic county pub. Food and service very good. We always visit when staying in clun. Michelle and her husband have been a blast and it’s just a shame they’re moving on: the place won’t be the same.

The Swan Inn
B4368, Aston Munslow, Craven ArmsThis is a fantastic hidden gem. We googled the nearest pub to eat and The Swan Inn was the first place to come up, so we decided to tried it. Thank goodness we did, the pub is absolutely amazing the atmosphere is lovely the food is incredible!! The staff are friendly and helpful and the young man who runs it is just lovely. He is attentive, kind, funny, helpful and nothing is to much trouble, he also cooks all of the food which I can’t recommend enough. Our little dog was welcomed too. We have booked again for Sunday lunch and when we return next year this is the place we will be eating. Thank you so much for a wonderful meal and dessert and we would recommend The Swan Inn every time!! x

Post Card Cafe

We sat outside as it was a warm day, but the cafe looked cosy and quaint. Service was prompt and the tea was hot and strong.

Fiddlers Elbow Fish & Chips
10 Rosemary Ln, Leintwardine, Craven ArmsGluten free fish and chips!! Everything is gluten free - every day! So many chip shops only offer gf midweek, so whilst this is a 40minute drive for us, we will be returning. There was a queue and then a wait for the food to be cooked, but the sun was out and it was lovely to walk across the road and sit on the green next to the river. The food was delicious, fresh and hot.

Route 49
44 Shrewsbury Rd, Craven ArmsWe stopped here for a break on our journey from south to north Wales. Was glad we did. We sat on a bench outside to eat our food in the sun. I was going to give fewer stars for atmosphere because we were in front of a road then thought better of it, because it's not their fault the road is there and if it weren't for the road we wouldn't have spotted this place! So 5 stars for atmosphere it is because the shop was spotlessly clean. Food was great and cooked fresh to order. Would stop here again if in the area.

Hundred House Inn
Purslow, Craven ArmsWe were staying just 0.8 miles away from the pub and telephoned them to ask about local taxi firms so we could go and have a meal and a few drinks. The landlady said that taxis are very scarce in the area. After we had already telephoned one taxi firm and quoted us £17 each way. The landlady offered to take us back to the cottage we were staying in. What a lovely lady. We had a drink each and the very best fish and amazing homemade chips ever. Would highly recommend this pub, very friendly atmosphere, very friendly staff and amazing chips.

The Apple Tree
Onibury, Craven ArmsWe dropped in last minute for our evening meal as the first pub we went to werent serving food. On first impressions the pub looked a bit run down. A very 'local feel' pub. The staff are friendly and the food was excellent. Home cooked, delicious, freshly cooked and hot. We had mains and puddings and all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We had lasagne, scampi, kids burger/ chicken nuggets. Highly recommended. Good prices and great food.
