A wonderful dining experience. The Lion is a well run establishment with a cosy atmosphere. The staff are friendly and welcoming with good knowledge of the excellent and diverse menu which is competitively priced and they are happy to answer any questions the customer may have. Maintained to a high standard it is clean and well organised and run with great efficiency and attention to detail. I have no hesitation at all in recommending the Lion to everyone and will definitely dine there again as soon as I can

Wonderfully presented public house. Beautiful setting, Riverside etc.Food is quite foodie well cooked with fabulous flavours. The meet @ greet staff (ladies) were well on it, with a good welcome.Serving staff were challenged (probably new). But overall a good & relaxed place to be ?

Called in on the off chance of a gluten free lunch. Absolutely brilliant, really good gluten free choices and very tasty food in comfortable stylish surroundings I can recommend enough, I had the sea bass with clams really tasty. My husband chose the rack of lamb which was delicious, also a gluten free option. I chose the pomegranate and lemon posset for dessert. I really can not recommend highly enoughFood & drinks: Brilliant gluten free options, not to be missed meals.

Staff very attentive. We had starters/ kids menu, for lunch as only wanted small plates! The kids Fish and Chips was perfect portion for me! Desert was yummy, and also just the right size off the kids menu! The decor was lovely and very interesting.

We're lucky enough to live in the village. We always get a warm welcome, whether poping in for a coffee, a pint, or a meal.I'm looking forward to the summer, great pizza, and a pint by the river.

Prices up and food quality down. Such a shame that one of our regular food stops has gone this way.
