The staff are friendly. The roast beef was tender and juicy. Atmosphere was good, the place is clean and modern. It has a big parking lot so it was easy to park.

A weird pub. Situated in the middle of nowhere. We were there to celebrate a birthday. The atmosphere was non existent. They didn't really remember the booking even though it was checked in-on twice. The staff were nice but it was poorly managed. I had to defecate in the dark. Avoid.

The website for this pub advertises it as one of two pubs on the site attached to a small brewery. The photos are of what I assume was the Plough pub. They look like a cosy stone walled pub. But it seems that it is The Taproom that is now open. That is a huge, brightly lit, echoey high ceilinged room with very little atmosphere. The brewery is now apparently closed. The menu is a much reduced version of the one on the website and is pretty basic. The food was okay pub fare and the service very friendly. This place would be less disappointing if it was represented on its website accurately. We thought we were going to a small cosy pub with a comprehensive menu of local food. Instead we got a limited menu in a large barn like room.

Interesting venue as there appears to be a brewery on site! The service was good and I have to say my lasagne and salad was very nice, but my husband's burger was absolutely awful.

Very good service and very good food in decent quantity. It's just a pity that they don't open on Mondays and Tuesdays otherwise we would have visited again. A little bit out of the way which probably explains why they were not too busy but we would recommend giving it a try.

We rang ahead the week before to ensure that this lovely rural inn could cater for our party of 12. We were asked to preorder our food, which we gladly did as their menu was very appetising. We all ordered a 3 course meal for dinner, and each course came out in a timely manner with very generous portion sizes. The staff were wonderful and very friendly. The food was amazing. We all very much enjoyed our food.
Really good food, and excellent service. Bit out of the way but well worth the trip. One of the best steak and ale "pies" I've ever had, the slow cooked beef was so tender it fell apart with a fork and the ale gravy was one of the best I've had. Will definitely visit again if I'm ever in the area again

Just back from a fantastic Sunday Lunch at The Plough Inn. Impeccable service - thank you so much. Delicious food and great value for money. Will certainly return when in the area next.

Popped in for lunch while on holiday in the area. Walked in and we were greeted by two friendly bar staff. We ordered sausage and mash and burger and chips. The time between ordering and being served was just right. Both meals were really good. Sausages were of excellent quality as was the burger. Good sized meals. (Too big for me) If in area again would certainly return.
