“A gem of a basement restaurant. Hard to describe fully and succinctly but it's a brilliantly quirky environment with delicious food. We all really enjoyed the experience and the staff were lovely.”

“Small cosy local pub with a real fire. Locals are very friendly. Did find the beers slightly more expensive than the other places in town. Closest pub to the canal for the boaters.”
“Our first visit but will definitely not be our last. Fabulous welcome great banter and the most amazing food. We even came home with gifted wine bottles for us to male some flavoured oils. Five stars all round”

“Amazing value. Rooms are small, and my room had a shared bathroom, but the price and location were excellent. Unless you drive an (original) mini, you probably won't be able to drive through the cart-horse gate to the car-park, but there's plenty of free parking nearby. I literally parked by the front entrance. There's a good range of beers, including lots of local ones. The bar food is resonabmy priced and the breakfast was fantastic. Stuff were friendly and everything was clean.”
