Birch Rd, EllesmereAbsolutely cracking local pub in a very historic building. Great atmosphere, friendly locals, good beer and a range of other drinks. Would definitely visit again. Has music and other events but it was a quiet Sunday night when we visited.

Former Natwest bank, Scotland St, EllesmereCalled in here for coffee today...lovly friendly polite staff...great atmosphere ...got some local cheese n veg to take home ..mmmmmm garlic and mushroom cheese was yummy ...the local blue cheese was also yummy ...keep up good work ..will visit nxt time we in the area

The Red Lion Ellesmere
Church St, EllesmereMe, my partner and my mother stayed at the Woodland Lodges for a holiday and put The Red Lion on our list of places to go for tea.
It was a really nice place to go, the food choice is amazing, the prices are absolutely brilliant and the service was very nice.
We enjoyed it soo much that we booked in to go a couple of nights later. They also had a specials board with lots of choice.
Food quality and portions are outstanding.
I am a vegetarian and the other two with me are not. I felt the vegetarian options were brilliant. I was surprised to see Quorn on the specials boards. So the first time I had the burger which was lovely and tasty. The second time I went for the specials option of Quorn Tagliatelle and it was amazing.
My partner had the Steak and Ale Pie and second time the Lamb Shank. Which he enjoyed. And my mother had a Beef Brisket and second time Bangers and Mash which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Would 100% recommend.

5 High St, EllesmereGreat find, absolutely delicious and just what we needed. You won’t leave hungry. Definitely recommend the fried sea bass and the papaya salad was good too. Friendly service.

Eastwick Ln, Ellesmerewhat a fantastic afternoon at the cocktail making experience. informative, inspirational, fun and great tasting cocktails. Gave us the confidence to go away and try these wonderful cocktails, armed with the knowledge of how to use the equipment and how to mix for a great taste. Thoroughly recommend this experience, their passion for their products really shows in their delivery. well done guys, we will be back, bringing many more willing participants! thank you

6 Scotland St, EllesmereLovely assortment of fresh homemade cakes , brownies, crepes savoury and sweet. The homemade leek and potato soup is one of my favourites. Sourdough cheese on toast and bacon and sausage baps. An amazing choice to choose from. You will not be disappointed.

Scotland St, EllesmereMyself and 3 friends booked a sunday carvery for 12.30pm we arrived and were warmly welcomed by staff we were served promptly and had a first class meal .There was a choice of 4 meats mash ,roasties ,carrots,cabbage delicious cauli cheese a huge homemade yorkie pud and the gravy was amazing all for £13.95 .I had a standard size meal which was filling and exceptional value i chose lamb but you could have 2 meats for that price ,on offer also was a large meal with choice of 3 meats but mine was ample even for a big eater i will defo be visiting again well done Charlie n co well worth a visit

Pizza The Mere
hotel, High St, EllesmerePizzas were really good. Was a bit difficult to find where to collect, it's inside the hotel, through the doors on the right and the kitchen was on the left. They left the pizzas on the side for us to collect so we weren't waiting around.

The Boat House
The Mereside, EllesmereSadly it was very cold cold on the day we visited and the food was barely hot...However, the young ladies serving were very attentive and helpful....we will just return in the summer as there is plenty of outdoor seating overlooking the lake.

Ellesmere Kebab House
23 Cross St, EllesmereHaving seen the google score I wasn't going to go here for our pizza. However we asked a local and she said the pizzas were great so we decided to give it a try.
Glad we did. Pizzas were lovely, food hygiene rating is high and prices seem average. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Wait wasn't too long either.
Having enjoyed a couple of pizzas from here I would return if in the area and would recommend. Shame their google reviews don't reflect how nice this takeaway is but it's well worth a visit at least for pizza anyway as it was delicious.
