“Excellent fish night in late February 2025. Small but well thought out fish menu. Fairly priced with tempting starters and good choice of fish. Prawns in tempura style batter were crisp and well flavoured. My main trio of Cornish hake, bream and haddock with the famous creamy sauce with grapes was rather good. Nicely presented and fresh quality white fish. Vegetables and potatoes came in small dishes and we're quite acceptable. Quality ice cream to finish. All 5 of us enjoyed our meal. Well priced small choice of reasonable wines. Underrated restaurant. The breakfast I had a few weeks previously was also excellent.”

“I called in today for the first time. Cake was amazing. Lovely atmosphere, but one thing that for me spoke volumes, was the customer service. My son has extreme complexities and we travel with lots of medical equipment and I find when in establishment’s like this, he gets overlooked. Almost a hinderance. Today was totally different. The waitress (name has escaped me - but I know she used to be a nanny if that helps credit this fantastic person) she was fantastic. Spoke to him like any other child and spoke to me as a typical mum: not a medical mum. Really interactive and knowledgeable about the area and produce. A waitress chatting, may seem so trivial to most but to me it meant the world and added to the positive experience I had. Will definitely return. You made my day. Inclusion is everything! And the cake helped”
