Well this us one of only 3 curry houses that I will eat at. Curry is my passion in life and it has to be first class. I travel 2-3 hours to eat here. These guys have perfected everything. They are very humble nice people. Can’t wait for next visit. Hint - try something different or ask for something not on the menu! Beautiful.

I ate here on a Monday evening when the restaurant was quiet but doing a lot of take away business. The staff are friendly but the food was disappointing, as the portions are modest and the quality was not great. I had a lamb dish and the chunks of lamb were tough and had a ‘crust’, which gave the impression of being off cuts that came from the end of a piece of meat. The overall meal was underwhelming and if there was still another option, I’d eat elsewhere next time.

A small Indian restaurant with excellent food and an excellent menu. We had booked a table which is recommended as It was very busy. Serving a wide range of drinks including draught beers.
£25 for a minimum delivery when ludlow is less then 3 miles In diameter is a joke. Won't be ordering again.

Had a stopover in Ludlow on our way up North from Somerset. Vehicle trouble meant we missed our meal booking at our hotel so we searched for alternatives and were really delighted with Shapla. The staff were very accommodating and didn't mind our very late last minute booking. The food was beautiful and different to your normal curry house offerings. We had lamb shank and duck and all dishes were very tasty. Will definitely come back in future!

Past experience has always been great with the Shapla but last Saturday was a different story! We arranged to have pre Xmas takeaway and drinks at my house as being posties going out in December is a no no! We ordered the takeaways we were happy to see there was a 25% offer. One of us has a severe intolerance to peppers, so severe she has to carry a EpiPen! We ordered the food stating twice ( in capitals) that there be no peppers with the Chicken tikka main. On receiving the food, which took over 1hr 45 mins to get to us it was was stone cold and every meal had peppers in, this is unexceptionable and they really need to be more careful as it could make someone ill if unnoticed, Not so much of a bargain Really? On the plus side it was very easy to order online and the delivery chap was very friendly!
