As previous visits, booked on line easily, arived on time and promptly seated in familiar surroundings. Service was excellent, the steak, fish and chips were really good class and in general all meals / deserts were served promptly together and by a particlarly polite waiter / staff (dark haired young man, I believe was Alex). One constructive point regarding the sausage and mash. Both having the impression of mass production, which I believe with such an ecconomic choice on the menu is unessesary. Especially having Carters (Butcher) around the corner who has award winning, locally produced product.This, in our opinion would have benefitted the meal, customer experiance and indeed should also be referenced on the menu to promote local businessesIn general, a lovely meal and experiance and we will no doubt be back again each month throughout 2024.

Great food and reasonably priced. We have been coming here for several years and more recently attending the quiz nights most weeks. The quiz nights are great fun and the staff are very friendly. Definitely recommend.

My husband and I had burgers on the 20th March 2024. We both now have upset stomachs!! The burger patties did not taste great and over cooked. Will not be going there again!

We waited over an hour for our starters, which were burnt and inedible when they arrived. We tried to get the attention of the staff to let them know but were ignored a number of times. I ended up going up to the bar to say we weren’t happy and to cancel the rest of the order. I was still charged for drinks and a kids meal. Very lacklustre apology given. Service was appalling, the staff are obviously very unhappy.

I have eaten here alot over the last month with friends and family due to being on early maternity. I would give it a 10/10. The staff are extremely friendly and always welcoming to me and my children. I've never waited longer than 2-3 mins for a drink and food has always been a reasonable wait that you'd expect less than 40 mins but they always notify if there's any delays on food times which have never ever been over 40 mins but I know the food is exceptional every time so I don't mind regarding waits.Helen, Megan and Jodi have always welcomed me with a huge smile and a warm welcome.They take their time with my children when they are ordering food as of recent I've not been able to do the children's menus with them and feed the newborn. They always have a recommendation and inform me of the daily specials which I find is brilliant as sometimes I need help with the menu as always so much choice!! The pub has a warm and cosy feel when the fires been on recently in the colder and wetter days! This is somewhere if your looking outside of town and with a fantastic service I would say 100% recommend you drop by here for food!Breakfast is fantastic!Highly recommend the lasagne & chocolate melting dome for pudding.Parking: Lots of space for parking!Kid-friendliness: Absolutely 100% amazing with kids!!
