Absolutely enchanting! The pub's timeless charm, adorned with vintage furniture and art deco elements, creates an atmosphere where time seems to pause. The warm and friendly ambiance, coupled with the absence of mobile distractions, fosters delightful conversations with amiable people. As a foreigner, I can say that I have enjoyed an authentic English pub experience, with its traditional ales. Cheers to discovering such a cozy retreat!

Great little traditional boozer in Ludlow centre. Proper ‘very’ traditional pub, good real ales and lively chatty atmosphere… don’t miss it!!

Was busy with regulars on my visit. I found a seat but had to keep moving to let people pass as those standing at the bar would not budge an inch.Bar staff were lovely but clientellle quite rude.

I love the Blood Bay. It's one of the best pubs I've ever been in, and at the age of 66 I've been in a few. No phones, friendly and welcoming people both sides of the bar, good conversation and an excellent pint too. I'm sorry I didn't give any stars for food but that's not the Blood Bay's thang!

Really great little pub. The fact there is a no phone rule forces conversation and is welcome in today's world of mobile phones taking over! The bar manager has the cutest dog, Rudy. Highly recommend.

A proper little local pub. Everything a proper pub should be. No!!! Mobiles, music. Just great conversation and nice friendly people. Just wish it was my local. Didn't mark the food as only drank but the cheese rolls looked pretty good. Highly recommended.Vegetarian options: It's a cheese roll for god's sake. What isn't to like????
Awful landlord (who stands at the bar drinking and doing very little work)with a very poor card machine. He tried accusing me of trying to commit fraud in front of all his customers, yet I had over £100 in my account which i proved twice by showing him my account .I even put my card in his reader and it still declined. He then took our drinks off us and asked us to leave. At least I got a free packet of crisps off the obnoxious fool! Anyway enjoy Ludlow but steer away from this hovel!Ludlow Brewery a much better choice or the Rose and Crown …just not The Blood Bay.Very cheap upholstery …and not a lot of effort put in all round .Cloudy beer and stale too .Needs to go on a cellar management course …and a personality one too!

Really quirky, but friendly parlour bar serving a small range of beer, wine, cider and spirits.
