Very dated fish and chip shop. Felt like somewhere from the 80s. Very expensive for cheap quality food. I could understand these prices in a top end chip shop. But not a back street one. The owners was very friendly and polite. Parking is not the best. And located at a top of a steep hillParking: No parking. Street parking but have to go up the curb in order not to block the street

Called into this place whilst on a short break near Ludlow. It’s really in the middle of an estate and was a bit of a surprise as you don’t really get any indication of that when doing a search.Parking is very limited. The service was a little slow, that said most of our order was freshly prepared and it was for 9.The prices are reasonable and the portions are very good. Please note this is a cash only shop and caused instant panic when I tried to tot up the cost only have £50 to hand. Anyway when I came to pay it was around £4 short. The owner said to pop it in next time I was passing. I did, the very next day how kind.

After reading the great reviews we decided to try them. Went at 6.15. No other customers in. My fish was dry, batter tough, so must have been kept in heater too long. I worked in a chip shop years ago. 5-7 were the busy times. Husband said his mixed kebab meat was 'ok'. Lamb nice, chicken tough.Parking: Very limited, on road.

Excellent chipshop, big choice on menu, good prices, staff are really nice. The chips are very tasty. My favourite being the battered chips. Would highly recommend a visit.

To everyone moaning about orange greasy chips, they’re Black Country battered chips! Amazing!
Really big portion of large cod and chips which tasted lovely. Really good value and really nice husband and wife owners. Very polite and helpful. Parking for a couple cars in front of shop. Located in a residential area. Clean store with delivery available through foodhub. Recommended

This inconspicuous fish and chip shop on the he verge of Ludlow should have more customers. Served by a very dear Indian couple who had their little girl with them. The fish and chips were very good and very enjoyable. My husband and I shared a large serving between us which was more than enough and at just over £7 it worked out that we ate that night for just over £3.50 each. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the cod its self wasn't quite as moist as it should be but the chips and batter on the cod were cooked to perfection...a tiny amount of tumeric I think has been added to the chips, you can't taste it but it gives the chips a lovely golden colour and tumeric as we should know is so very good for you - being an anti-inflammatory so if you want delicious dish and chips come here. Sadly no sign of gluten free but for those who have no gluten problems it's a winner.

Tasty food, friendly staff. Brilliant menu. My favourite place to go in Ludlow for takeaway.

I have been going to Jay for many years ... he has just improved and got better and better and better ... his battered chips have taken off tremendously!!! And his kebabs with the fresh salad are by far the best in TOWN ! He is also a very generous man . Considering I have had times with nothing he has always been there and has helped me out more times than I can mention ... he is not just a man with a chip shop ! HE IS A MEMBER OF THE COMMUNITY ... :)

Great takeaway, Jay & his wife are lovely. We live 3 miles from The Codfather & they missed something out of our order, we didn't even phone to say anything, sat down to eat & Jay knocked on our door - amazing service!
Opening times are wrong. Annoying
