What a great little find! It was my mom's 89th birthday. We took her a drive out and ended up in Much Wenlock. We spotted Tea on the Square and thought we would give it a go. The girls serving were absolutely lovely. Really down to earth, polite, friendly and couldn't have been more helpful.Mom just had a toasted teacake and a coffee as she wasn't too hungry. We both had chilli with some tea loaf to finish. Everything was super tasty. We will definitely be back. (No photo of the chilli as I shovelled it down too quickly).

We were turned away with our small well behaved dog because as we walked in two badly behaved dogs started snarling and barking so we had to go back out into the pouring rain

I had a tuna melt sandwich. Came with a small pot of coleslaw and some crisps. Was very disappointed. At £9.25, I expected my sandwich in “real” bread instead of the standard pre-sliced. Coffee was lovely. Atmosphere was good.

Beautiful pot of Earl Gray and a choice of gluten free cake. I had the carrot cake, which was lovely. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere.

Sorry only rated 1 star but do not agree with eating with dogs, they should be left outside not where people are eating and sitting where dogs have been. One person in our party is scared of dogs after an attack so we will not be back .

Went for lunch with friends. Cafe was busy, but we got a table. Staff were very friendly (and seemed to know most of the people in there who were obviously returning locals - always a good sign!). Service was friendly and fast. Food was very good - we had scrambled egg and mushrooms on toast, Early Grey tea etc... Excellent!

On visiting the town we walked into Tea on the Square, and saw that a table had become free with no clear reservation sign. Before we both even had the chance to sit down, we were shouted at from a waitress across the café, who said that the table was reserved and that we couldn't sit there as the table was reserved - infront of a full café mind! Another table offered for us to sit at theirs but due to the sheer lack of professionalism shown by the staff member, we politely declined and went elsewhere. Appreciate when times are busy and stressful but there are ways of speaking to potential customers and an apology wouldn't go a miss. Won't be visiting here again due to this. There are a small number of other cafés in the town with a much more pleasant and welcoming environment.

Called in for lunch with my family and to be honest the prices are expensive for the food received. £10.95 for 2 small sausages a few chips one egg and one round of bread and butter. Not what you expect to pay in a small cafe with a limited menu as this was. I don’t mind paying for good food but i would label this as staff canteen food at London restaurant prices. Would not recommend.

Nice small place young staff with great customer service. Very pricey. A jacket with cheese a sandwich with cheese 2 diet cokes = £30.00 just under. Nice but not THAT nice! Better value in other places.Vegetarian options: OK if you like cheese .

We popped in for elevensies. The tea loaf was delicious, as were the lemon drizzle cake and the coffee cake. Delicious tea and latte. The staff were lovely. This is a beautiful tea shop.

We were welcomed by a 'We're only serving coffee and cakes'. It was 3.30 in the afternoon Easter Saturday and that was fine, it was all we wanted but a more polite welcome would have been better! I asked, as an allergy sufferer what I could have but there was no option available to me, so I had just tea. As a cook in a cafe myself I bend over backwards to make sure I have options available for gluten, egg, dairy, nut, vegan etc dietary requirements. As an allergy sufferer I know how difficult it is to eat out and not feel left out and it's not a pleasant experience! Another couple came in shortly before 4 and were rudely turned away. It really was a, it's late in the day, I want to go home and want everyone to leave attitude by who I assume was the manager. The girl that served us was pleasant. Suffice to say, we wish we'd gone somewhere else and on this occasion made a really bad choice.
