Best Sunday roast I've ever had. Friendly, professional service with excellent food and a fair price for the whole experience. Really can't recommend enough and we'll be back soon.

Not open very often but a wonderful carvery, reasonably priced, excellently cooked, plenty of choice and plenty of food.Easy parking. Beautifully clean. Only downside is it was a little chilly, particularly in the ladies' toilets.

This wasn’t our first visit for Sunday lunch. As always, everything worked so well. Interestingly, the carvery was well managed; rather than a scrum of people battling to get food, each table was invited in turn to come and choose their food. What a glorious array of well-cooked grub; nothing disappointed but I was particularly impressed by the tasty beef, best I’ve had for many a month. Being hungry, I had a slice or two from all the meats, turkey, beef, pork and lamb plus Yorkshire pudding, pigs in blankets, stuffing balls, roasties and parsnips. Oh yes, there was a host of veg on offer; I managed to squeeze a few peas on too. My wife’s gluten intolerant and the host even provided gluten-free gravy. It was pleasing to see a couple of friends from Shrewsbury there too; we’d encouraged them to book and they were having a great time. All in all, I can’t wait to go back, an outstanding meal at a great price.Dietary restrictions: Cater for gluten intolerant customers.Parking: Loads of space to the rear of the pub.Wheelchair accessibility: Wide doorways and no steps make it easy for wheelchair users.

Visited today for Sunday lunch. Havent been here for a couple of years and we were not dissappointed. The Pub has been refurbished and is just absolutely stunning and has been done to such a high standard. The food was delicious. The best Sunday lunch Ive had in a long time. Choice of three meats, Yorkshire puds, stuffing, pigs in blankets, a beautiful range of fresh vegetables and tasty gravy. Only one of us decided to have dessert as 2 of us were just so full from lunch. I did have a taste of my partners chocolate and hazelnut slice which was again so delicious. I would highly recommend this beautiful pub to anyone going for Sunday lunch, you will not be disappointed and we can wait to return. Thankyou so very much xx

We wanted a quality Sunday dinner and we got it. The cavary had four kinds of roast and the vegetables were refreshed regularly and were very tasty. Well done.

Excellent Sunday lunch as always ( been several times) Choice of three meats ( or you can have bit of all three) , Yorkshire pud, pigs in blankets and a huge amount of choice for your veggies. Lovely gravy and choice of accompaniments ie apple sauce and the like. Welcoming staff and revamped interior offering more space, and there is ample parking. Value for money. Went to The Checkers in Montgomery for Fathers day lunch and The Blackhorse meal is way better ??
