We were a group of around 50 friends of mixed ages. Tyler was very helpful with our booking, made with just a few days notice. We were well looked after by the friendly efficient staff. Food was lovely, portions very generous and the price was really good value ( we took advantage of the promotion using the codes) Thank you Jess for being so attentive…. nothing was too much trouble. I have food from here on a regular basis as it is next door to where I work. I have had numerous different meals from here, the chips are the best I’ve had, the fish is my favourite lovely white fish with a crispy batter. I have had pizza, pie, sausage, and kebabs, can’t fault any of them. Wish they were based where I live.
Staff are fab, but have to say Vic is hilarious!

Been wanting to pop into The Griffin for a while.
Well parked in the. Bailey Head car park. So only about a 3 minute walk.. lol.
Well, you won’t be disappointed, from walking in to the pub, the service was fantastic, the pub was clean, and a really warm welcoming. The gentleman behind the bar was absolutely fantastic.
Ordered our drinks and found a seat, within a few minutes he came over and asked if we were ready to order. Now things where it gets even better both my daughters are a right nightmare when it comes to food. But they both ate their food, my eldest, absolutely demolished hers. And she’s as fussy as it comes.
Both myself and my partner couldn’t say anymore them, the food was amazing and we both want to go back.. As I write this I’m so stuffed. The food was plentiful and warm. It even tasted homemade, which is another bonus..
I want to go for Sunday lunch next.. so watch out.. I’ll let you know.

A lovely, local tearoom! Very welcoming and friendly. The staff are very accommodating and cooked me a tasty mushrooms and cheese omelette. I have several food allergies and was delighted - and relieved not to worry about what I was eating and what “extras “ may come with it! Very good service, very good food - beautifully presented- and with a smile! I would definitely recommend this lovely Courtyard Eatery and shall visit again soon!

One of the oldest pubs in Oswestry, lovely historical building and cosy, warm atmosphere on the inside.Fantastic true cask ales, great outdoors seating area, covered porch and just a proper true, great pub. Being opposite St. Oswalds church adds to it's special character and even better looking at it from St. Oswalds church grounds.The staff are so welcoming and friendly and so are the locals who frequent the Oak Inn.Thanks to you all for such an amazing pub and experience.Will be back and certainly recommend a visit to this pub to properly experience it all!

Would have given it 5 stars but it lost a mark due to a staff hygiene issue - two members of staff petted dogs and did not wash their hands afterwards, even though the dogs licked their hands! We found this place purely by accident. What a lovely venue, a garden centre, charity shop and a café with a walled garden. We ate a light lunch, paninis and a slice of cake with a coffee. We booked this place for New Year’s Day after driving past and staying at nearby Henlle. \nThe fact it made it clear it was dog friendly on the outside was fab for us. \nMessaged and booked via Facebook which again was really handy as no phone service. \n\nGreeted warmly by locals on entering pub which is always nice. \n\nWe were the only ones in the room having dinner, and as such we were a bit have we made a wrong decision. The rooms and carpet are a bit tired and dated. \nHowever, the food!!! All homemade, well cooked, tasty, and a variety for everyone! \nPrices are exceptionally reasonable with main meal at £16ish and 2 courses for £20ish, but the portions were plentiful and filled us right up. \n\nA great choice for New Year’s Day. And a lesson in don’t judge a book. \n\nThank you for a lovely meal

Very friendly and cosy cafe right in the heart of the village. Small and cosy and the staff were very welcoming. The tuna jacket potato was a generous size a however the bottom of the potato was still very hard. The selection of cakes was great and the coffee was very nice. Only slight negative is that they offer no vegan dishes - we were offered beans on toast but that’s all. Just something to consider if a member of your group has dietary requirements.

I would like to highly recommend this shop for its quaintness and beautiful selection of items, I literally could have spent all day in there, the staff were extremely helpful, and we were delighted with our purchases, but an extra note to say, the owner/those that run the shop are really good kind humans, my son is autistic and left precious items on the shelf, which were kept safe and posted back to us, they really didn’t have to do that, and it’s touched my heart x these days most shops are corporate, all about the spends, this shop is a gift, in more ways than one! I will return one day and bring a big bunch of flowers, just to show my appreciation x you guys are the best xxx

Fresh products and I was quite surprised about pricings which were quite under the norm for this type of shops. Far cheaper than the one I used in Chester(well north Wales). And this at times when Staples are raising daily.Friendly and polite personnel as well.I'll definitely visit again ( despite my allergy to the town itself)
