I spent a couple of hours in this hidden gem a few days ago, I could have stayed all day! Such a friendly welcome and brilliant service from the young lady (Georgie) behind the bar.A lovely little pub, I will definitely be going again ?

Always made to feel welcome by the landlord, landlady, and staff, been in here a couple of times when coming over to Shrewsbury to see my sister and family. It's a great little back street pub. Keep doing what you are doing as you have a classic pub.Kid-friendliness: Like most pubs, kid friendly.

Found by happy accident during riverside walk. A wonderful ‘proper’ neighbourhood pub, sadly a threatened species. Friendly welcome from staff & locals, excellent beer, very relaxed. I wish I lived nearer but I will return. Well done to those in charge, you’re doing important work ?

Allan Stone

Dog friendly, real ale pub, great atmosphere, cheap pints on Tuesdays; jobs a good'un! (Log fire in the winter ?)

We traveled around the world just to find a proper pub and boy did we ever!! We spent many a day/night sitting around with Kev & Angie. There is nothing like the Dog & Pheasant in Michigan. It’s one of the last proper pubs with outstanding management that is active in raising money for local charities.Games are plenty, music is available and darts & dominoes are a weekly event. This is the best pub in Shrewsbury, and I wager it rivals any pub in the UK.

One of the last great remaining proper pubs in town. Hidden away in a row of terraced houses, you could easily never know it was there. The hosts and staff are the friendliest and welcoming around, the fellow drinkers are friendly too. This is a drinkers pub, although they are planning a food menu in a couple of years ?. They do have a great selection of bar snacks though.Plenty of table top games to keep you occupied, darts and dominoes too. Juke box in the lounge and fires to keep you warm in the winter. You may even find the days vegetable haul available from from some of the locals, or some tasty jams.If your near here, go spend some time and have a drink. You’ll want to stay!

What a great little pub. Hidden away in a small street on the way to the river. Well worth a visit. Very friendly hosts.
