Found by happy accident during riverside walk. A wonderful ‘proper’ neighbourhood pub, sadly a threatened species. Friendly welcome from staff & locals, excellent beer, very relaxed. I wish I lived nearer but I will return. Well done to those in charge, you’re doing important work ?

We traveled around the world just to find a proper pub and boy did we ever!! We spent many a day/night sitting around with Kev & Angie.There is nothing like the Dog & Pheasant in Michigan. It’s one of the last proper pubs with outstanding management that is active in raising money for local charities.Games are plenty, music is available and darts & dominoes are a weekly event.This is the best pub in Shrewsbury, and I wager it rivals any pub in the UK.

One of the last great remaining proper pubs in town. Hidden away in a row of terraced houses, you could easily never know it was there. The hosts and staff are the friendliest and welcoming around, the fellow drinkers are friendly too.This is a drinkers pub, although they are planning a food menu in a couple of years ?.
