I had the pleasure of eating lunch at the Windmill Inn today. I opted for "Today's Special" a seafood pasta, which featured very generously sized prawns and a gorgeous white wine sauce. The flavours were superb. The charming Country Inn atmosphere added to the overall appeal, making it a memorable visit, thank you. I would definitely recommend the Windmill Inn for a superb meal.

This truely is a country pub with all the bells and whistles. If you get the chance to eat outside the views are stunning and the food is excellent. Well worth a visit.

Despite online reviews of a ‘grumpy’ owner we found him extremely friendly and helpful! The meal was delicious: I had the chicken and my husband had the sea bass, and the views towards the hills from the garden are superb. One tiny caveat is that I would suggest a proper topping on the apple and plum crumble, rather than a sprinkling of muesli. That said, I would highly recommend the Windmill Inn.

First time visiting here on a sunny, beautiful Saturday afternoon. It wasn't too busy and has the most amazing beer garden with views! Inside looked nice as well, nice atmosphere and vibe. Service was excellent, very attentive, friendly and prompt. Food was really good, especially the windmill burger, so flavoursome and cooked perfectly. Would definitely recommend visiting here.

Superb service and food! Upon arrival, the pub seemed busy, the owner welcomed us and very quickly arranged a table for us, even extending it to suit our party size. We had a wheelchair user with us and the owner was very accommodating. He showed us the toilets and advised a ramp could be put down to enable access. Food was amazing, home cooked and of a very generous portion. Service was second to none, attentive and quick. Would highly recommend a visit. We will definitely be back!

We were driving back from Wales looking at somewhere to stop for lunch. We nearly overshot this gem of a pub. Great location, views over the Shropshire countryside. These are not the best bits though, they are the food, staff and atmosphere. All excellent. I had the steak and ale pie. Wonderful. Will definitely stop again.

Bloody brilliant place. Called for second visit on Wednesday night, just me and my wife and granddaughter. I had the ham and eggs. Stunning. Utterly brilliant. Service first class, food first class and views from rear garden unbelievable. Highly recommended.

Really good Sunday Lunch on a Sunday evening. Great veggies and choice of meats. All the usual trimmings cooked just like your Granny would make it. Even though we were later eating it was all still very fresh and tasty. The pub has an old fashioned feel inside with plenty of space and traditional furniture. It really felt like eating with family. Staff and landlord were all great. What a pleasant stop, highly recommended.

Fine pub: excellent beer, good food, particularly the enormous and delicious pork chops on the Specials. Attractive beer garden too, but sadly we visited on a rainy day, but then it is always good to have a reason to return.

We stopped at this busy pub hoping to get lunch and were delighted with the warm welcome and how they managed to squeeze us in on a Sunday at 13.30! Lovely sirloin beef with fat and served pink. My husband enjoyed the salmon. We had starters and main but couldn’t manage a pud, but they did look good. Definitely will return!!

Stopped for Sunday lunch. £18.95 for one slice of fatty beef, 3 hard roast potatoes and some veg was extremely expensive. £12.50 for a kids meal for a 3 year old was extortionate but no other options available. Either price or portion size needs to be reconsidered. We cooked a meal on arrival back home as we left the restaurant still hungry. Children's meals on average are priced at £6-9, the quality and portion size did not reflect the £12.50 price tag. We left wishing we had gone elsewhere. Staff and setting pleasant.

What a wonderful little find, a proper country pub that hasn't been over developed and isn't disappearing up its own a**e. Staff are lovely, food is good honest pub fayre, and they're very dog friendly to cap it all, definitely a five star.

Stopped here whilst passing through. Lovely attentive staff, great atmosphere and decor. Homemade soup and cheesy garlic bread was very good. Mains we had fish and chips- massive! Also had baked ham, egg and chips. Again great potion size. No room for the homemade dessert! Good cask ales and selection of wines. Will visit again if in the area.

Booked for lunch. Warm welcome. Good food. Attentive friendly staff. I had the nut roast - can be a bit hit and miss but it was very tasty. With new potatoes, green veg and a delicious sauce, cooked to perfection. Portion size about right. Not overwhelming. My friends fish and chips was excellent also. Particularly the batter which was crisp and the fish was white and firm. Recommend this pub heartily.
