Unwelcoming, chicken was raw, then was charged twice for it , had to tell the manager she had to delete two meals, some of the party ordered the 3 course festival meun then was charged for the pudding on top. Not a very enjoyable Christmas Eve family meal. The pub wasn't even busy. The first time I have been and will not be returning and I have passed my experience on to other people I know and work with so they don't have to experience this awful place.

Me and my work colleagues came in for a lovely meal for my birthday. They allowed my colleagues to pop in a little early and decorate the table! Great food and even better service. The staff came over with a card, chocolates and a free drink to say happy birthday! Thank you so so much it was very appreciated! Shout out to Tara, Fi, Izzy and Ben :)

Don’t visit this place! We came here for Christmas Day and it was dreadful from the moment we arrived. The manager is awful, she is so rude, unattentive and the way she spoke to her staff in front of guests was appalling and of a bullying nature. We had to wait for food for far too long, order was significantly wrong and the food was quite frankly inedible. As a manager you lead by example…. Let me tell you, no positive example was being set here!! Would definitely not return unless I wanted to spend another Christmas with the grinch!

APPALLING Had Christmas dinner with the family here "Never again" first we were crammed together as it appeared they where not ready for us, although booked for 3 pm and paid in advance. starters were over cooked and not nice at all. Then we had an hour waiting for the main coarse, this came out burnt, missing most of the trimmings and veg It was clear the trimmings had been cooked hours before, the lucky one,s were those who didn't get the trimmings, the food was totally inedible and out of the nine in our party, eight could not eat it, the only one that got to eat was a child as she had something different. then another wait of 45 minutes for the sweet only bought out because I asked someone clearing empty tables how much longer do we have to wait for pudding. we gave up on the forth coarse, mince pies and coffee and went home to cook a meal at home. Clearly this restaurant was more interested in taking bookings than being able to deliver to the customer, very disorganize, and looked like the food was cooked for the first sitting around 12 and kept warm for the rest of the day, with those booking a later sitting suffered for it. all around us people were complains about the food and the waiting time ONCE AGAIN I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN.

Rubbish, Christmas Dinner was booked for 3.00, got seated at 3.45.(bearing in mind it was all booked and payed for well in advance¡)Had starter and then waited for main but apparently they forgot about us and 2 more tables. They rushed our dinners out which made the dinner not cooked properly. While we were eating our Christmas dinner they were tidying away for the breakfast in the morning. After all that pudding finally came, but once again for got my 6 year olds so I had to get up n remind them. The whole experience was the worst ever. I would give a minus if I could.

Sadly very poor service. Was waiting at the bar for 12 minutes with large groups taking priority. After being stood at the bar for a good long while I got a drink.I was then given literally 8 minutes to drink it (got my drink at 22:02 and asked to leave at 22:10) as they came around shortly after and advised they’d been shut for 10 minutes already. Such a shame when I’m away for work and trying to unwind, struggling to get noticed by inexperienced staff and then not even given the chance to drink what you’d waited and paid for. What a shame.I understand that last orders are at 21:45, but if I’m waiting for nearly 15 minutes for a drink - at least give me time to enjoy it.Didn’t eat the food. From epxerience in other beefeaters - you shouldn’t eat the food.I stay in premier inns a lot for and it’s made me not want to attend beefeater anymore. Hope they’re not all as poor as this one.

When we arrived it was empty, we ordered food and drink smothered chicken and lasagne The chicken was rubbery and tasted not pleasant. My partners lasagne was a bit over microwaved but it was tasty Wasn’t impressed had to hunt down my own condiments. I complained about the chicken and they did refund, so no complaint there, but it was automatically offered no question, makes mewonder

Lovely food, loved the decor, very Christmas and cozy, artwork that fit the restaurant theme was really coolFood was lovely, had an offer which made it great value too! A little expensive if paying full price, but great with an offer. Lovely service.

Rude staff - barley acknowledged our existence. We asked for sauces and never received them as the young lad was either watching TV or serving the table next to us - nice that they got what they asked for! Food wasn't very nice, smothered chicken was very rubbery and had a handful of chips with it so portion size was small. Half roast chicken and fries was adequate. Mixed grill was the biggest disappointment of all three meals we had. Large egg shells left on the egg which I'm sure my sister's boyfriend ate a piece before realising. Unsure how it left the kitchen like that. Sausages had a weird taste to them. Meat was okay.Wasn't asked once how our food was - would have asked for it to be sent back to the kitchen.Wouldn't rush back. Worst Beefeater I've been to. Was considering coming here for breakfast as we are here for the weekend but we've decided not to not after this experience. Very disappointed.

A busy restaurant, very popular with families. Service was good. We opted for the Festive set menu and were pleased that gluten free food was available. We pointed out that there were items on my husband's plate which were not gluten-free, these were rapidly removed. The turkey dinner was a mixture of hot and tepid food, plenty of it but not delicious. We chose ice-cream sundaes for dessert. After Eight mints in the ice-cream were frozen solid and remained chewy- not a great idea. Our final bill was wrong with an overcharge of £14. But we did enjoy the cocktails!

This place has gone downhill The new manager is awful Just ignores customers Sat at table for 20 minutes before anyone bothers with you Ignored at the front counter There was 4 staff members just chatting Then they all run and hide so the don’t have to deal with customers It’s just awful Would not recommend this place until the manager is moved on as she cannot run the place
