First visit for us, great job on the building, very unique.
The service was excellent. We were given a complimentary taster of Pate, which was beautiful.
We both had soup as our starters.
My wife's main portion was very small, see photo, although she said it tasted very nice.
My tomahawk steak was a bit too fatty for my liking, cooked just right, so the actual lean part was just right. I asked for medium rare. The potato fritters that came with the dish were overcooked, and the whole thing didn't present very well. Our bill came to a whopping £127.00 for two of us.
Unfortunately I don't think we will go back.
However, if you haven't tried it, I would recommend going and supporting a local restaurant and making your own opinion.

Went with my family to celebrate my brother's birthday this evening and, as always, Tonye and the team were fab!

It was busy this evening so, naturally, a few things took a little longer and one of our dessert items were a little bit delayed in arriving, but that doesn't and didn't take away from the all-round lovely atmosphere and consistently delicious food! As I work in hospitality myself and have had similarly hectic evenings, I think it's always important to point out that all staff are only human at the end of the day too :)

Everyone is wonderfully friendly, approachable and always responsive! Fantastic place to bring friends and family. I will always recommend the Southwater Bella Italia ?

This is the best Indian food I’ve had in Telford. The food is delicious, tasty, beautiful. The service is exceptional. They said if I felt my dish was too garlicky for me, they would cook another one. So kind. All the staff are friendly, welcoming. The atmosphere is friendly and professional. Price of food is great value for money. I recommend my food to anyone, poppadoms with beautiful colourful dips, chicken tikka starter, my companion had chilli paneer. Yummy! I had a main of North Indian garlic chilli chicken, was so tasty, we shared rice and we had a Naan each. My friend had a curry of lamb made to their liking. Tell them your likes and dislikes because nothing is too much trouble. I will be returning!

I haven't been since the pandemic so decided to go back the other day and it seems they've now got QR codes to access a website to order your food.

They do still let you order via staff if you want to, but you're heavily encouraged to order via the app.

Your food is brought to your table as normal. Although what baffles me, is that the app asks you for a tip! For what? I don't even give my order to a person anymore. I'm doing some of the work, where's my tip?

Rant aside, the food is still pretty good, and the refillable drinks are great as usual, letting you come up with all sorts of weird flavour concoctions. Didn't get any desserts, but deep pan is still deep pan, and not just a new name for standard crust as Domino's seem to be doing lately.

The food was very good and well priced. It's a gastro pub so don't expect fine dining but for what is it they have really made an effort with the decor and atmosphere. Relaxed and friendly.
The large mixed playlist a big hot plate full of meat. Enough to fill up two big eaters. Probably 3 normal people! Very tasty as well. Chips portion is large compared to other places. Would recommend for a relaxed night out with the boys or with the missus.

The woman serving is always so friendly and nice. If you are a regular she remembers you, your orders and conversations she’s had with you. Truly goes out of her way, and is so kind.The food here is by far the best in the local area especially compared to some of the closer ones that tend to be bland and the pricing isn’t that far off. I’d say it’s 100% worth it. My mum is a vegetarian and this is also the best place for options for her, and she raves about the tofu.Out of the 3 or so years I’ve ordered from here (could be longer i’m not too sure). I’ve only ever had 1 singular dish not be up to the standard and even then it was still highly enjoyable.Vegetarian options: Whilst i’m not vegetarian my mum is, and she’s been able to swap most dishes including sauce and meat into sauce and tofu. Such is my experience at Oakengates where I visit about 2-3 mornings a week. Tracy (my personal ‘brewer’ as I see her most often) is such a lovely woman, always cheery no matter how dark, dull and dismal the weather (or my day). Note: there is no room to eat in at this branch but there are 3 benches outside if you don’t like eating on the hoof. A lovely place to go.

Popped in at 5:30pm on a Monday after work for tea. Had Chicken Tikka, rice, naan, poppadom & chips. Followed by sticky toffee pudding.
Fairly busy but didn’t have to wait too long.
Curry was great.
Service great

Quirky and full of character. Friendly staff and great food.

Rooms: Lovely room, clean, warm. Very comfortable bed. Light and airy.

Food and drinks: Had the homemade lasagne which was delicious.

Tasty pub grub in a nice old fashioned pub, tables outside near the river. Quite busy at the time we visited, food cooked fresh to order.
Note no Sunday roast dinner just the usual menu.

Gorgeous little cafe, beautifully decorated for Christmas. Only had hot chocolates but they were delicious, lots of tables for afternoon tea which looked lovely. Lovely staff, in particular a lady who was working on her day off and was so kind to my little boy and gave him some chocolates which made his day. Can’t wait to return!

Lovely place in a great location with a view of the bridge. Very friendly welcome & service. The bridge builder's breakfast was excellent quality and value for money as was the scrambled eggs & smoked salmon. I definitely recommend giving Darby's a visit.

Very pleasant, busy, social (Rowton's brewery owned) pub with fine beverages to please all patrons be it a real ale, hoppy craft ale, continental lager, wine, gin or just a coffee. Always worth a visit if you're in the vicinity, folk inside are friendly and dogs are welcome. A small selection of food is available but it's focus is the drink and a fine place to meet and chat. ?

Parking: Car park next to the Pheasant is free but time limited. Parking is available nearby (within 5 min walk) which offers more flexibility.

Asked to stay on carpark in campervan and have breakfast. Wow so pleased we did. Great service and excellent breakfast £10 each including cereals, yoghurt, orange juice, coffee, tea , full English and toast, jam.
Enjoyed it, so stayed another night and had a meal. Really impressed with the Cod and chips and pie of the day. Crumble and Sticky Toffee pud excellent. Service was good. Will return. Thank you

Good night out watching Collision play live.
They really do know how to entertain. I'll be back to watch them again.
Although busy, the staff were friendly and helpful and carried my drinks over for me (I have a walking stick), which was very much appreciated.

The food has always been amazing. We havent been for a while but booked a table and wasnt disappointed. The service on our previous visits has been shocking having to keep asking for drinks etc . On one occasion my husband actually went to the bar to get our drinks because we were fed up with waiting to be asked but this time I have to say the service was much better. We were literally asked almost straight away what we wanted to drink. Its a shame about the bad service because the food is amazing, never had a bad meal . If the service keeps up its definitely worth the visit !
