Disappointing. Far too salty (all meals had). Portions, especially entrées very small. Mains overcooked. A printed menu which is beginning to mean to me that they have no interest in their food. Staff very friendly, environment pleasant but a missed opportunity. A place that could easily be a destination restaurant.

Superb food 5* Service We booked Chez Maw in advance for dinner as we had read previous rave reviews, so glad we did! The restaurant is excellent, the food is superb! Fine dining in a lovely cosy restaurant . There is plenty of choice on the menu, with everything cooked to absolute perfection, our thanks to the Chef who is obviously very talented! The staff are attentive and engaging, Thank you to Chris and the rest of the team for a memorable Dinner. We hope to return.

Amazing experience! They accommodated us on short notice and we were a group of 8 people! Nothing but the best service and the nicest staff could not recommend more :) Lee was so courteous and friendly and couldn’t go out of his way anymore if he tried, very welcoming!!

First time dining here and wow. Food was the best I've ever had. The portion sizes were just right too. Waiters were absolutely fantastic. If I could give a higher score, I would. I'll definitely be going back.

We all enjoyed the evening. The food, the waiters the ambiance and the fact we were totally unrushed. I'm not surprised that Chez Maw is No 1 in the area. It really lives up to it's recommendation. Especially the young lady waitress.
Absolutely brilliant place, looking forward to returning. Would recommend it to anyone.

The entire experience of Chez maw was nothing less than outstanding, the reception and service provide by the staff was first class and the food was delivered as advised and was beyond excellent, I cannot recommend Chez maw highly enough - if you are in the area do NOT miss the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful meal.
Service was excellent,attentive and pleasant. The food was very good Probably the medium steak we ordered was medium well and the medium well was probably well,but still very nice.

We ordered steak sirloin each. One was excellent,the other not so good..veins of gristle through the meat. The waitress was told when she asked about our meals,and told us we could have one sweet on the house. We paid for our visit at reception before leaving without noticing the that we had been charged for the sweet!
