popped in as was staying in hotel opposite by the lake - staff were friendly coffee and cake were both very tasty. Sat for a while as was waiting for a friend didn't feel like i needed to move or was in the way. enjoyable

This was not our first visit to Southwater Costa, and we have always found the staff to be friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Good coffee and tables cleared and clean. Close to the park for food and drinks.

Reviewing costa in the shopping centre - awful customer service from the barista. He basically accused me of theft for perusing a product whilst passing the time waiting for my drink to be made up.

Called in today at 15.55 to get a couple of coffees. Unfortunately We were unable to find a table that didn’t have dirty cups and saucers on them.The staff were busy serving and therefore didn’t have the opportunity to clear tables etc and I’m assuming that there was no one to load the dishwasher or clean tables. We left without buying anything.This is not a criticism of the staff as I know they work really hard however surely a part time worker could be employed over the holidays to help with the increase in trade?We we’re disappointed and left without buying anything.

Visited here on a day out with a friend for a coffee and lunch. Very Covid safe inside with hand sanitizer and social distancing adhered to. I had the Ruby hot chocolate and it was beautiful.

We came just after 10 am for breakfast. I had a chocolate twist and hot chocolate, both were substandard, the chocolate twist was not fresh and hot chocolate was barely warm. The cafe looks untidy, we had to clean the seats before we could seat down, the table numbers are made from a piece of old cardboard.

I’ve read a few of the reviews here and can honestly say that my visit for coffee and cake was brilliant. I was with my small nephew, the young girl behind the counter (derrie)? saw me struggling to juggle the buggy and very kindly told me to take a seat and she would bring my order to me. This was very much appreciated thank you.

On my lunch hour, made the fatal error of buying a drink here. Queued for 15 minutes in total. Ordered a large lacto free hit chocolate. Now, I don't mind waiting for good produce but thus was bland, not nearly enough chocolate and luke warm. I didn't realise thus until I was swiftly back in my car heading to work. Poured a good 80 percent away and bought a thoroughly enjoyable chocolate from the coffee van who visits my workplace Staff: let's just say, they were aware of the queue and delays in serving and adopted the "if I can't see you, you can't see me" approach. AKA the ostrich manoeuvre! Lacking any sense of urgency and customer care. One member I witnessed coming back from a jaunt out at lunch, bringing his food with him, then making himself a drink. OK have lunch but don't rub salt in the wounds mate! I happen to know this fella is a nbarrusta, tall with short, dark slightly curly hair. My advice? Sort out the queue first, then sort out yourself. Avoid

I love costa coffee and was looking forward to my coffee with my mother but the rude customer service ruined this experience. I asked to scan my points card and the lady 'Bev' (I think that's her name) said speak up you should have said that before, I couldn't believe the attitude! At least hire people who want to work there, it is a position where you need to be customer-facing but Bev's attitude stank!

Visited today, shop was busy. Drinks came I asked if my toastie was still on order As was taking a while, got a very rude frosty reply “there’s a long line of food” It came after ten minutes and was banged down in middle of table didn’t ask who it was for, made us feel extremely uncomfortable. then to top it off it could g even be cut up properly. APPALLING VISIT won’t go again.

Went for a coffee myself and a friend. As it was a nice day we sat outside. Sat where the table and chairs were and did not move them. As we were drinking my friend got messed on by a bird from above, made me smile. Within 5 miniutes I got the same, only a lot more. All down my back. Won't be doing that again.
