Great spot for lunch. Food was good, nice selection and the staff were excellent in fact we all commented on how exceptional the staff were. Thanks!

A lovely pub, on the river and just a short walk into Ironbridge. Staff were great, we were the last booking of the day and the service was exceptional. Food was very nice and reasonably priced (2 courses for £20). Big car park; dog friendly; lovely setting and building. Hope to be back in summer to enjoy the beer garden! Highly recommended!!

Stayed here last minute, had the last room available, small but cosy. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and welcoming, especially the bar staff and the lady who served us with breakfast. Lovely breakfast included in the cost of the room. Really good value and extremely accommodating, sorted me a veggies breakfast. Good location, just less than a mile from the centre, nice walk along the canal and through the park as an alternative to walking the main road. We will definitely be staying again.

Was told I had only 15 minutes to have a drink when I walked in as they were fully booked and when I left 45 minutes later still no one showed up. Woman behind the bar was the rudest most arrogant person I've ever met.

We went in our campervan and stayed on the car park overnight for evening meals which were hot, fresh and well above the standard of pub food. It's a clean and very well kept and very comfortable place with very clean toilets. The gardens are quite extensive and onto the river, a beautiful spot even in winter. In summer a treat! We will probably use this as a regular stopover.

Well just drove past the place and gave it a go when we was back in the area, and we wasn’t disappointed. At 1st no one was in at the time we got there but picked up mid afternoon, the food was banging , Tasty and flavourful going to come back and try the Sunday

We stayed at The water Rat Inn by default, we where meant to be staying at their sister hotel The White Hart but due to some maintenance issue the room was not in use. After staying at The Water Rat I am actually glad, as it was lovely. The staff went above and beyond, the room was beautiful with a nice view. The food was impeccable. It has a car park and it is about a 10 minute stroll into Ironbridge along the bank of the river where we saw wild Deer. I would highly recommend and will return ?Rooms: Nicely decorated, very clean with large digital TV , tea making facilities, hairdryer , nice thick heavy curtains to keep light out. Room 4 good size double with nice view and large ensuit.Nearby activities: Ironbridge historical area with the first Ironbridge in the world , some good bars and restaurants and beautiful scenery.Walkability: Approximately 10 minute walk along the bank of the river into IronbridgeFood & drinks: Food was excellent ?.Breakfast was full English freshly cooked to order. Service was impeccable.

Stayed in my campervan in their carpark overnight. Wasn't planned but called in when passing as it was getting dark and colder by the minute. The staff were very welcoming and happy for us to stay. Ate dinner that night which was very good. Bonus they are very dog friendly letting the dogs into the restaurant. Also booked breakfast the next morning which was epic and was offered extra as we had long journey home. Day staff were as friendly as the evening staff. There is a river side walk through the beer garden which takes you into Ironbridge. Will be back.
