Popped in here for a drink as it was a "Joule's Brewery Tap" pub and I wanted a pint of my favourite Joules's "Blonde" ale and introduced my mate to Joule's "Green Monkey" lager...he loved it, phew! This pub is lovely both inside and outside, lots of seating areas and the outside garden ones are just perfect on a sunny day.The staff were fantastic, friendly and big smiles all round is so appreciated in this day and age. The locals were inviting, chatty and very friendly too..Pity I don't live in or near Wem otherwise it would be my local pub probably..Thanks to all the staff for such a great service, experience and visit.Recommend a visit to this lovely pub if you're near the Wem area.

A really well designed space and great value. It's also well located - a bakery, several pubs, cafes and restaurants just a couple of minutes walk away. It's next door to a lively pub, but the noise was very contained and didn't affect our sleep. Great shower too. We were walking the Shropshire Way - this was a perfect overnight stopover.
