One of the best Chinese takeaways I’ve had in years!!! Very reasonably priced too.Only complaint is that we ordered on the phone for collection, we were told a time to collect and we ended up stood waiting for 30 mins after that time. Luckily the food was worth the long wait.

Worst chinese I have ever been to. The sweet n sour chicken Cantonese tasted like yesterday's left overs put in sauce and microwaved. Tasted off, microwaved chicken with wet stodgy batter. Nothing tasted right and ended up in the bin.

I’ve lived in Whitchurch for 8 yrs and this Chinese comes top of my list. They are always friendly and their food is always top notch. I don’t mind waiting if they are busy. Good service and food is worth waiting for.Parking: Parking is right next to the take-away ! So no need to fight for a parking space.

Tried this Chinese as our usual one was extremely busy, but certainly won’t make that mistake again. Firstly our meals were nearly 25 minutes late and I was fobbed off a few times with ‘sorry we are busy’. I did finally get a small discount after speaking to 4 separate people, and that’s why they have 2 stars instead of 1. The sweet and sour was pretty much flavourless, as were the prawn crackers, which also tasted stale. The rest of the meal was purely flavoured with salt. Really not at all appetising and will just wait next time for my usual takeaway.

After having tried the competition I can safely say that Golden Chef is the better takeaway in the area.- Price is more then reasonable.- Food quality is very good.Will be coming back again.

When I come to Whitchurch i always have something from here. It has to be Chicken, chips,peas and gravy. The gravy is like a sauce. I have no idea how they make it but it's the best gravy ever! Highly recommended.
