Lovely owners very helpful regarding the limited parking .they topped up my coffee and milk when need .the food in the pub was amazing .

Nearby activities: Had my hair and makeup done the next day for a wedding .shops up the street and a lovely little village

Wild Shropshire Restaurant

The food and drinks were exquisite - I'm still thinking about some of the flavours and sensations a week later. I enjoyed the blind tasting menu concept and had fun trying to guess the components of each course. I love the stories and ethical commitments behind James's work, and appreciated that he came to each table to answer questions.

The surroundings were restful, which is even more impressive when you consider it was a hot July evening when we visited, and we were facing the open kitchen, where everything seemed very calm. The front-of-house team were delightful: welcoming, knowledgeable and clearly happy in their work.

I don't know many fine-dining restaurants where you'd feel relaxed enough to tip a bowl up to your mouth, or run your finger around a dish. I'm not saying I definitely did this, but I might have done this, because everything was delicious.

Vegetarian options: I liked that my vegetarian menu diverged only where essential from my (meat-eating) husband's menu, so it remained a shared experience.

Another fantastic evening at Docket last night. Each course of the tasting menu is so well thought out with such a great balance of flavours and textures. Great service too with all staff showing an excellent knowledge of each dish. Highly recommended.Dietary restrictions: The tasting menu was well adapted, where necessary, for a gluten free diet.

Gardiner's Fish & Chips

came all the way from new zealand for gary’s fish and chips and it was worth it!! fish and chips were beautiful and service was amazing, will definitely be coming back!! :)

Bulls Head

Walked to Whitchurch town from Grindley wharf. Friendly staff, food was delicious, and the resident Labrador was friendly. Will recommend and come again next time we're in the area.

The Swan

We visited this pub as it was located close to our narrow boat on the Llangollen canal. We had an excellent meal, the menu was varied and the food was of a very high standard. The staff could not have been more helpful and we could can see why this pub received the Best Pub in Cheshire award.

Joli spanish coffee shop

What a gem of a place . Visited on spec and tried nearly all the tapa dishes . These were presented in a refreshing way, rich in flavour . Well priced too . Lovely staff too made for a great lunchtime .

Old Eagles

This is a review of the Bulls Head, despite the fact that that it is called the Old Eagles at the top of the page. We ate here on a cold January evening. The staff were really friendly and the music was fantastic 80s and 90s , but the star was the food. We had veggie lasagne, home made and really delicious, followed by sticky toffee pudding. If you are looking for good honest food at reasonable prices, I strongly recommend you try here!

Cafe ELEVEN

Walking around Whitchurch on Sunday and it was pretty dead until we found this oasis. Very busy but they squeezed us in. Excellent fresh coffee and treats, super friendly staff, great ambiance

The Horse and Jockey

Absolutely brilliant! First time we have been and can't believe we haven't been before! Made a brilliant and appreciated effort to do a dairy free dessert and all staff were incredibly friendly. All food was lovely. We'll be back! Thank you!

Went to the Red Cow for the first time today to meet up with an old work colleague. What a fantastic little pub, and if I lived in Whitchurch this would easily be my local.

Came to Whitchurch as the halfway point to meet with friends, and chose the White Bear based on the menu having one of the broadest choice of vegetarian / vegan dishes I've seen. Good call - all the dishes were imaginative and tasty, and the service was great as well. Dog-friendly too. Thankyou!

Played dominoes Monday night and is a very nice place! Girl behind the bar was very very nice too ? shame we aren't in the same league as won't be going again this season ?

Nice location, fast table service and good food. It's definitely worth having a look in there, there's a lot to look at, such as sandwiches, cakes, pastries, cheese, jam, chutneys etc

One of the oldest businesses in Whitchurch, seen many close down over nearly 30 years of living here so it's nice to see a business like this still going. The staff are nice, fast service, reasonable pricing and there's a great variety of pastries, bread, hot food and pretty much anything you could ask for from a bakery.

Drove into Whitchurch never been b4 had a little walk around looking for somewhere for lunch when we came across this little gem had a fantastic lunch warm welcome off the young lady behind the bar.

New Golden Chef

Ordered from here when staying at a local touring park. Collected the food and it was amazing. Would highly recommend. Crispy Shredded Chicken in Chilli Sauce is one of the best I've tasted. Will 100% be returning.

Borders Restaurant at Macdonald Hill Valley Hotel & Spa

Visited last Sunday for a meal, served by a great waitress, Libby, who attended our table promptly and made our party feel most welcome, great staff throughout, will certainly visit again.

Snapper Fish & Chips

Called in just a minute or two after they would have closed… it could have been disastrous but the owners turned the fryers back on for our order. Just a few minutes and we had some wonderful tasty fresh chips. 10/10 on customer service 10/10 on the chips as well. This place needs visits more often! Very impressed at the cleanliness inside the chippy and there is free parking outside what more could you want.

Sainsbury's Café

This wouldn't be my first choice of places to eat n meet. Couldn't drink the coffee, bitter n cold. Staff are friendly but the whole place lacks atmosphere. Reminds me of a factory canteen, maybe some nice music or more comfortable seats n a cloth on the table even a plastic wipe over one would be better than nothing.Parking: Being part of Sainsbury there's plenty of parking.

Alderford Kitchen

Car Club outing for annual "Drive it Day". We pre ordered due to the number of members attending. The food was very good, served quickly and piping hot, everybody commented on the quality and quantity.The service from the friendly staff was exceptionally good, nothing was too much trouble. The premises are spotlessly clean. We all agreed that we will go there again
