I'd driven past this place several times so decided to pay a visit with the family. The place has a nice comfortable atmos, but we were placed next to a busy internal doorway while other tables were free. Not really an issue, just a bit of unnecessary disturbance from passing punters.\\nThe service however was very swift and the food was agreed by us all to be particularly good and probably the best in the area. Beware the 'duvet' Naans though, they are delicious and huge. One per pair of diners is plenty.\\nBottom line is great food and service, good sized portions with plenty of meat and four very happy diners. Highly recommend a visit.

Had a great meal for three today. Had the banquet fantastic value and really top quality food. Service and staff first class, can’t recommend this place high enough. Thank you.

Absolutely spot on. Everything from the service to the food was excellent. We popped in over our 3 day hike to Llangollen after seeing the reviews. Met a lovely couple too. And the Naan Bread was heaven. Will be visiting again when we are in the area ???

Always polite and remember regulars’ orders which really adds to the experience and personalisation of the experience. Never had an issue with any of the food. Love the cheese and garlic naan especially

I have always found the service here to be exceptional and have visited many times in the past both dining in or collection of a takeaway The personal touch to the service makes you feel very welcome and the food is sensational at a very affordable price. Sadly the past 2 visits have massively changed my opinion and left us very disappointed and no option but to look for better Indian restaurants to use in the future. Our dining in experience was greatly tarnished by the level of service received as we had booked a table for 7 people but upon arrival it was set out for only 6 people. This was corrected by myself and not the owner by finding an extra seat and having to request cutlery etc for the missing place setting. Our orders were placed but took at least 25 minutes before we even received our starters, followed by our main meals arriving spread out and not all at the same time with 1 guest left out. The food was its usual exceptional standards but portion sizes had reduced, drinks were more expensive and tableware could have been a lot cleaner. The waiter continually monitored our eating pace and within seconds of finishing a course quickly removed plates etc. as were the empty drinks glasses but in some cases removed glasses when not finished leaving us holding on to our glasses in fear of them being swiped. Whilst the pricing is clearly displayed in the menu we were aware of our spend but upon receiving the restaurant receipt felt it was not justified on our occasion and left us feeling a little disappointed. Moving to a more recent experience where we purchased a takeaway online for collection this also was not great. The order was incorrect as were the quantities of the appetisers such as chutneys, poppadum's etc. How this can be wrong when its clearly ordered by the customer and printed in the restaurant is again poor service. I phoned the restaurant to advise of the mistake to which I got a response of "next time your here, remind me and I'll sort out a refund" Over the past 7/8 years we have enjoyed every minute of our visits or our takeaways but recently the business has changed and sadly for the worse This in our opinion is due to the introduction of 'Just Eat' orders rapidly coming in to the restaurant and it was clear to see the business was not coping and very few staff available. The online ordering machine was printing every few minutes throughout our visit and couriers racing here there everywhere to get these orders out asap. Whilst this is perhaps a great income for the business it has taken away the impressive service, personal touch and expertise of the staff. This contributes to mistakes leaving you with an impression that Spice Heaven is now more of a 'Fast Food' outlet rather than a fine dining Indian Restaurant.

This place is a go to when we're In Whitchurch visiting family. It was my late grandmas favourite restaurant and they knew her by first name and would send a free bottle of wine when we had a takeaway, Absolutely lovely, all of them! Thank you spice heaven!
