Worst Chinese I’ve ever tasted. We had bbq spare ribs in what can only be described as gravy, rang up no apologies just told they don’t do gravy there. The only nice part was the crispy chilli beef. The roast pork chow mein was awful, the pork was full of gristle and I think also really over

Food is great and is always hot on arrival. Only let down is the price. We had 2 meals and it ended up costing me £80+, which is very expensive in my

Food is ok to be fairservice was very disappointing make sure you order prawn crackers as it doesn’t matter how large your order you won’t get any, and if you ask you are snapped at

So went to swallows for a treat for me and the partner came to £37 thought it was a little expensive but if nice didn't really mind. didn't even get to eat half as didn't really seem right. And now for the past 3 days we have both been feeling rather ill and that's the only place we have been. Safe to say I'll be avoiding in the future.
Great food, Amazing service and a nice environment

There it was in front of me; £47 of chinese...it had to be good! Fillet steak in green pepper and black bean sauce (£11!), szechuan chicken, special chow mein and special fried rice. So much build-up and anticipation...I even ignored the fact that the special fried rice had no special stuff and was anaemic with blatantly minimal soy sauce....The first bite....??? A second bite...??? Have I got covid?I genuinely though my taste buds had stopped working. I could see the colours but no taste at all. I definitely don't have covid but I did wonder at that moment. No need to worry though because I could taste the mass bought prawn crackers with their suspiciously symmetrical shape. I could also taste the The szechuan chicken....a taste like sugar with no chilli...but I could still taste at least. I do feel sorry for the destiny of that lovely fillet steak though...a destiny of a dirty bath of 'not' black bean sauce.Swallow is definitely apt for a restaurant that serves food with no taste, because my meal was a mechanical process with no enjoyment at all and definitely over priced. I do wonder if, as it was a take away, less effort was applied.I look forward to going somewhere else next time.

We are new to the area and this was recommended as the best Chinese in the area. It's pleasant restaurant with very friendly staff. Relatively easy to park nearby. The food was okay but not amazing. Everything seemed to just lack that extra depth of flavour and aromatic spices we are used to. We thought it was fairly expensive for what we had too. In summary, it's not going to blow your mind but it's nice. We are proper foodies and will continue our search for something better even if it means driving 30-40 mins.
