Not so easy to find, as Sat Nav tells you that you have arrived a few minutes before the actual place, but stay on the same road. Well worth a visit. We where the first people there at 12.10 pm, Food lovely are very large ( I couldn't finish my fish platter).

Lovely friendly canal side pub with beer garden. Welcomes kids and dogs. Great selection of beers. A must visit place for all boaters travelling the Llangollen canal.

Very friendly staff. Food was a reasonable price and served without delay. Added bonus is that it's dog friendly. Would recommend this place.

Lovely staff serving a good selection of ales, stouts & lagers. Well placed next to the canal on a sunny day its lovely to sit and watch the boats go by. Also serves wonderful food, on the pricey side but worth the price!Vegetarian options: Lots of nice options to choose from

Revisited this quaint and charming place on my recent boating holiday. Fabulous food, very good portion sizes. Staff are very welcoming. Good value for money. We were a family of 6 and all meals arrived within seconds of each other. We loved it so much we we had dinner there again on the way back and took our grandchildren as well. Kids loved it. They accommodated a party of 8 easily . Well worth a visit

We were on a canal boat holiday down to llangollen we called twice at the tavern once for evening meal and once for lunch. Both times the hosts could not do enough for us and the 2 dogs we had with us. Food was excellent and we will definitely go again when in the area

Great place to stop on the canal for an excellent range of real ales and good pub food - all at very reasonable prices. We had the Willymoor Mixed Grill, which was excellent and we had a the Homemade Steak pie which was filled to the brim with steak.

Just back from our meal, booked for a party for 13 of us for a birthday. Staff were really friendly, food was piping hot and generous portion, not overpriced. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

I was really disappointed with the food. A jacket potato isn’t too difficult? Cold beans and a hard potato. Chips as a side order = dry like crisps, cooked too fast. Ordered desserts which also were not nice at all. The food had clearly been microwaved. Finally ordered a coffee which 100% was a sachet coffee. It’s scandalous to advertise a Flat white / Irish coffee when it definitely isn’t. Will not be returning

Lovely canalside pub. Large carpark but pub not easily accessible for those that can't walk due to having to cross canal on a bridge with steps, although not many steps it's quite steep? Staff friendly and helpful and food is good. Dogs allowed inside pub on a lead.

Star for the location which is excellent. Such a shame to make this our overseas guests last pub of the holiday. After the landlady was rude and blunt with them for no apparent reason - which left the rest of us plain embarrassed. A shout out to the Aqueduct Inn down the way which is a testament to how good British pubs can be.
