“I came here with my parents and my sister. We spotted this place on accident and decided to come in immediately we were amazingly greeted by a fantastic server called Danielo. As a person with celiac they had a wide range of choices for me which I was very pleased with. Food was very quick and tasted delicious some of the best carbonara pasta I ever had. I would recommend this place to anyone atmosphere is amazing the staff and food is great. They also have options for vegans and vegetarians. The staff was also very kind towards everyone including children. The best part of this whole experience was when my dad order himself a steak. He got to cook it himself on this hot stone. This is the only restaurant in Bath where you cook your steak on your own using this hot stone.”

“My friend is celiac and I have a gluten and dairy intolerance. We ate here and had a wonderful meal. The gluten-free crust is truly phenomenal. However, we came back a few days later and had a different waiter, and a very different experience. I ordered a gluten-free beer, but they brought me alcohol free beer. There was a bottle so I was able to catch it before I had any. I ordered a gluten-free pizza without cheese. It came with cheese. I was told because it was less than one percent lactose it was OK. I explained to them that I am not lactose intolerant, I cannot eat casein or whey, so I cannot have any cheese, which is why I asked for no cheese. We had to go back-and-forth a few times before they offered to make me a new pizza without cheese. After eating it, the check came, and my pizza was not marked gluten-free. (The gluten-free crust is so good, I couldn't tell the difference.) But when we asked about it, the waiter said I never mentioned I had a gluten problem, despite me definitely doing that (annd him verbally confirming it when I said it) and having a gluten-free beer. I explained to him that both my friend and I were going to get very sick. He took our drinks off the bill, but I don't think he truly understood how big a problem it was. So, the gluten free crust is great, and they seem to be very accommodating for food allergies, but you have to be VERY on top of your waiter to make sure you don't have a problem.”

“The best meal I’ve had this year. From the moment we walked in, the whole experience felt effortless - the staff were warm, knowledgeable and genuinely seemed to love what they do, which set the tone straight away.

We started with the aubergine, pork rillettes and Florence onion fritti - each one completely different but equally delicious. The aubergine was packed with flavour, the pork rillette was rich and comforting, and the onion beautifully simple yet so memorable. For the main, I went with the Brill and it was outstanding - fresh, perfectly cooked, and you could really taste the quality of the ingredients. To finish, the Plum and custard was a knockout dessert - indulgent but not too heavy.

The atmosphere upstairs is relaxed and unpretentious, with just the right level of buzz. It feels special without being fussy, the kind of place you can properly enjoy a long evening.
