Have had a few meals here now since the new management. Last night was my son’s 30th and we booked the private function area, such a great area for up to 22-25 people, and also keeps the kids away from other pub users. Even though a big food order, it all arrived within a few minutes of each other and hot, well done chef and service team. Bar staff were excellent, nothing was too much and service with a smile and a laugh. We would definitely recommend and I will be trying that beef and ale pie, son said it was tasty and filling. Thanks all for a great evening. Regards, ChrisParking: Free parking as long as you remember to enter your registration in the easy to use tablet just inside the main entrance, plus plenty of signs to tell you, so no excuse if you get a fine in the post.Kid-friendliness: Outside play area for the children, from about 4+ or younger with supervision. Also they can play in the garden until 10pm.

Went around 6pm on 17th March. The food was just awful. I had chicken in a bbq sauce, chicken was like rubber as if it’s been boiled to death and the peas were grey so I guess had been hanging around for a while. My young nephew had a burger which was just grim, tasted nasty. We didn’t eat our meals and left. The staff were very nice and it was busy I guess because it’s cheap. But it isn’t cheap if you don’t eat it because it’s that bad! If only the food was as nice as the staff. Won’t re visit.

The carvery was delicious one of the best dinners I’ve ever had. Such good value but what stood out the most was the staff! They were welcoming and couldn’t do more to help (lunchtime 3rd November). Our go to from now on wish we didn’t live so far away!

Nick and his team were incredibly welcoming. Everyone seemed happy and motivated and this reflected in their willingness to help and serve.Food was great for the price we paid. Just over £50 for five meals and four drinks and there was no issues with anything.Great value carvery on a Friday night too - service with a smile. Even a gravy boat with extra gravy! Not much you could do to improve the atmosphere - it is what it is. Small price to pay for a value family night out.

My main meal arrived quickly however my curry was tasteless and runny nothing like a tikka masala should be.The veg on my girlfriend's plate appeared to be tinned, boiled to mush and again tasteless. The chicken was nice but not as advertised. The bar staff spotted us having finished our meal but ignored us until such time I gave up waiting and requested a refund because I was sick of waiting. Will not be returningObviously the staff have sight problems as there was food left on the plate despite lying online to members of the public and failed to notice we had finished our meals. The real issue is the lack of service and attention to detail the food was adding insult to injury

Fantastic place. Manager is a great laugh, Friendly staff, always ready to help. I have adhd/autistic children and the staff make us feel welcome and seat us and cater to our needs. Food is lovely especially the daily carvery! We visit at least twice a week. Nice little outdoor playground and seating area, great in the summer. Highly reccomend.Kid-friendliness: Nice play area for the kids.Plenty of toilets.Very understanding, friendly staff with special needs children

I came here for a mother's day carvery with my son, his partner and his parents. The food was lovely and the atmosphere was fantastic. The pub was very busy so staff were a little busier than usual, but provided a very good service. ? and I will be definitely returning.
