“There's only 2 restaurants in the south of England that I'll get excited about eating a steak at and this is one of them. Fantastic food, always good service, fairly priced. The people who own the place really care and it shows. Was recommended to me 8 years ago and I still love to visit. Whenever anybody asks me where to go round here for steak, this is the top of the list.”

“We’ve celebrated a few birthdays here over the years. Our first visit (back in Nov 2019) was excellent, a truly fabulous dining experience with a well-balanced menu. In 2020, the food was still good, though not quite at the same level. By 2023, the menu changes seemed to lack the balance and fine taste we had enjoyed earlier, and unfortunately the overall experience hasn’t returned to that original high standard.

That said, the restaurant is conveniently located in the Mercure Hotel with plenty of parking, and for the area it remains a good option.”
