Arrived for lunch service appeared good made our order arrived at a reasonable time but no beer told it was not on order water had not put it on he did appear more interested in presenting himself than taking the order but was it was now ordered then told the barrel was being changed given another bottled be gratis then when original beer was back given a glass again gratis which was great but doesn't excuse original error the lamb mixed grill was very small meaning it was difficult to cook the tiny pieces of rump perfectly so they were tough my wife's Isle of Wight vegetables were good but overpriced the whole experience was not great

Very nice facility and interesting gallery. Restaurant excellent and staff most helpful and pleasant, my only criticism would have to be, the transparent plastic roof over the seating area of the restaurant is OK for rain perhaps but even in normal weather conditions the sun comes through making eating there most uncomfortable, working with small circular umbrellas does not cover enough especially long tables. There are retractable covers lowered along wires just below your existing roof which could have made the whole experience magnificent . Maybe next year please?? ktb

We had been recommended this place by some friends and we were not disappointed, we stopped for lunch and i can truly say i had some of the best mussels i have had anywhere, fun garden to look round as well as a gallery, if you find yourself in the area, go !

We hadn't booked ahead, but they were very accommodating, and we were able to sit outside. The food arrived quickly, it was absolutely delicious and the place had a lovely atmosphere. I would like to go back.

A nice setting and ambiance as we ate outside in the evening. Sea Bass and steak we're both really nice, cooked and presented well. Staff were friendly. We didn't enjoy the house wine as it was warm, sweet and heavy, it should have been light and refreshing. Main course was expensive for what you get but we expected that from Hauser and Worth gallery and gardens.

Our immediate comment when reading the menu was- this is now a very expensive place to have lunch. Quality of the food remains high & the service was good but we chose to have a starter, shared chips & summer veg, dessert & soft drink & it cost £35 for each of us. This seems overly expensive for lunch time & main course options were beyond most people’s budget. What a shame you have stopped serving some of the less expensive options.

We love coming to this restaurant. The food is of a very high standard and well presented. Great Staff with good service. Highly recommend the barbeque chicken and excellent salted caramel ice cream. Good coffee too.

Roth & Co. is the restaurant attached to the Hauser & Wirth Gallery in Somerset. It sits alongside a farm shop, the gallery and (to my mind, the reason for coming) the Piet Oudolf Gardens. A lovely meal and a beautiful visit.

Loved it! We were staying at Number One Bruton so had a lovely walk up there on a beautiful summer's evening. Sat outside on a lovely terrace, it wasn't too busy and we had really good service. Loved the food - especially the lamb and the rhubarb panna cotta

Today was my 4th visit in as many months , the service, food and venue keep drawing me back . Another delicious Sunday lunch today , thank you to our server John , and also to Anna who dealt graciously with my table change request and other matters . The attention to detail from all the staff …ensured we had a wonderful time . I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to others . The venue is noteworthy- a fab farm shop and of course the art! The gardens are a draw for many gardeners and we’re delightful today . Abs all round , excellent venue . Book out a few hours for the visit which has free and easy parking and offers dog friendly spaces .

We had a Sunday birthday roast at Roth Bar. There were six of us. The roasts were delicious with plenty of meat and vegetables to share. Afterwards we had puddings which were also delicious. Our waiter, Hugo was funny and very attentive. Great buzzy atmosphere. I would recommend.

Very disappointing lunch at the Roth Bar and Grill. Despite asking them about the contents of a starter and telling them about an intolerance to pulses they produced a plate that contained broad beans. My friend and I chose Durslade Lamb Scrumpets, which were mostly sticks of lamb fat coated in some kind of batter and served with a cloying sweet chilli and mint sauce.

A nice spot for lunch with a great menu and location. Sitting outside on a sunny day you might think yourself on the continent. Staff very attentive, food prompt, inventive and delicious - you can even pop to farm shop afterwards to pick up more of the same to have at home. Highly recommended.

I would absolutely recommend this place despite having had a rather disappointing experience myself. The menu is lovely and has something of everyone. The Lamb Strumpet and Scollop smartest were really outstanding. Fabulous wine list, with some unusual and truly excellent wines (albeit at a mark-up that would make a Piazza Saint Marco restaurateur blush). We had a fabulous 2017 Greek Xinomavro. The establishment has a lovely bar and outside eating area, but a major feature is the impressive “Salt Room” build from Himalayan salt bricks and used to age meat. With this in mind, you might think that their steak would be a real showstopper. At a cover price of £65 the sirloin needed to be impressive. Sadly it was anything but. Poorly trimmed from its aging experience it had rock hard edges, way too much fat and was mostly inedible and tough. The mixed grill was pretty good, but didn’t live up to the expectation created by the salt room display. Puddings were quite good. Bakewell had too much thick pastry but otherwise tasty. Panna Cotta was sublime. Great coffee and cheeseboard.

This place has a nice atmosphere and good quality food. Varied menu with specials to reflect the current exhibition at the adjacent art galleries. We had St Galen sausage, Burger, Chopped steak & Lamb scrumpet. Very wide wine choice incl local wines. Service top class too.
