We have used this chip shop twice while down here, best chips, peas and gravy for a very long time....... It beats a lot of northern chippies.

Well I must say not only the food is great at the battered fryer but however the young staff are very pleasant met a young girl there serving, she was very pleasant she will get on in life as very confident especially still being at school her name was Tegam well done to all the staff. The battered fryer are helping bring up the youngsters to be great people. 11 stars out of ten.

Been using the battered fryer since moving here 7 years ago, always been consistently good, all our visitors say how good the food is. Last night's fish and chips were the worst I've had. Very oily, thin and dark piece of fish,batter undercooked and wet, chips very yellow and dry. Very disappointed. Can't exactly send them back and ask for more.

Staff are friendly and helpful. My daughter has a milk allergy and they have an allergy list on the wall as you walk in, so my daughter knows what she can and can't have without feeling like a pain or embarrassed to ask what she can and can't have.There is a small but nice array of milk free foods so we are happy.I have eaten fish from here twice now and the batter is lovely and crispy, not soggy like other places. The fish was beautiful and flakey to.My son had a cheese half pounder which he enjoyed, would be nice to add lettuce to it.All food was cooked fresh and was hot, the chips were not soggy or oily when we got home which was great!Staff surved us with a smile, food was hot and a good portion size. Next time we will get a smaller chips as we had too many.Dietary restrictions: They have a dietary sign up so everyone can see what foods there are.Kid-friendliness: Staff greet you with a smile always, even when busy.

Well I must say the food is excellent always very clean never had a bad experience. Met a young lad working there last night only 16 name of Mathew,was cleaning work tops when serving up the food using hand sanadiser excellent to see this young lad to be keeping it so clean. Plus the young lady with long hair is always very pleasant and a good worker to always a pleasure to have food there. We'll done to theBattered Fryer.
