Husband and wife hosts Ben & Sophie are the most warm and welcoming a couple as you could wish to meet. The staff are great too and the food exceptional quality and not overpriced. There was brilliant live entertainment when we visited and we had a fantastic time.A real must visit !!!Parking: Lots of free parking.Kid-friendliness: Huge garden and play area with bouncy castle !

The landlord and landlady will be the downfall for this pub, Arigant, rude and lots of bad comments from so many people. Not recommended until they are gone.?

Absolutely awful. Went here this evening for New Year. Was a complete shambles. My friend complained and the landlady literally chased us including my children out of the pub and car park whilst verbally abusing us. I have honestly never witnessed anything like it

Popped in for Carnival night. Regulars served first at the bar. I ordered a pint of San Miguel and was served in a plastic cup. Not a pint that I ordered or paid for. When queried, I was aggressively told that it’s because it was carnival night, despite the regulars, being served their beverages in pint glasses. We weren’t sat outside, and it was our first drink of the night as I was driving. Won’t be returning.

Awful place, food not good and landlady vile with a vile temper to match, avoid at all cost, probably the worst place you could go in the area, you have been warned

Hoped to ring in the new year here, land lady too busy shouting at everyone, cussing them out to serve drinks, toilets had vomit on the floor no one about to clean it. Really gone downhill.

We booked a table for five for Christmas Lunch on 5th December. Three course meal. We couldn't have wished for better service. The table was laid out nicely with Xmas crackers included. The food was exceptional! I would go as far to say this was the best Xmas meal out we have ever had! Well done to the managers and chef of the Lighthouse.

The food was very good value and all four in our party were satisfied with the service. We had seen some poor reviews and were concerned that we might be disappointed. Not the case at all. It may be different if there is football on one of the big screens, conversation impossible and slower service but I enjoyed my beautifully cooked surf and turf and would happily eat here again.Parking: plenty of free parking
